You ever get to the point that you don’t care?

Not show much that you don’t but it becomes more and more apparent that’s others don’t so why should you?

If in a professional setting, i.e., find a new job and one that suits your passion.

If personal, most likely depression.

When that happens I just throw my hands in the air.

Invest in a new pickle ball racquet. Your days are numbered and you might as well go down competing with other retirees in a soft sport.

I’ve been struggling a lot this week. Had a painful surgery and my godmother unexpectedly passed away.

Life can be lonely sometimes but I’m grateful for some of the posts here this week. Made my week a little more bearable.

Early in my career, I seldom took vacation. Now I find myself having to take more to fight off the kind of apathy and cynicism that you are talking about.

Don't take other peoples problems and make them your own. Do what is best for you at all times. Your good intentions mean nothing and likely won't turn into good results. You would be surprised how much more you have good results by doing what you know is best for you instead of what you think is best for others.

Around age 35 I quit caring about what others think. I’m a married man with two kids to feed, bills to pay, and entirely too much other crap to worry about for me to be concerned with what others think I may or may not be, accomplish, or have accomplished. I just live life doing what I have to do and let results speak for themselves nowadays.

The government response to COVID was very eye opening. Can’t help but feel defeated when you see stuff like what happened to the truckers in Canada versus BLM setting cities on fire and getting millions of bucks from American corporations. If you really think this country is going down the toilet, no matter what you do, then it is hard to care a lot.

Sad, but true.

. My condolences, I buried my Dad on Monday. It was a blessing he had been in poor health for a long time. What I am having a tough time with is some of my friends around me. I just don’t understand it. People tell you I am here for you then you never hear from them or when you do you can the last they want is to be talking to you and can’t wait until the conversation is over. Even some of my oldest friends didn’t even come to the funeral. Haven’t made much effort to reach out to me.

Turn the TV off and quit social media. Focus on your family and neighbors and you will find that people still care.
