Ain’t social security the biggest expense? Just cut it and call it a loss.

Social security and Medicaid are the biggest problems. People are living too long. No amount of austerity will be able to right the ship. You’d have to cut or reduce these programs and who’s going to do that? Would be political suicide

Everything is a political suicide. Nobody actually wants to address anything anyways. We’re more focused on giving Jews money than our own debt

1. Start war
2. Run out of money
3. Congress pressured into giving more money cuz we’re in war

The USA is currently at 39 Trillion in debt.

The real threat to our national security. Half of the country ignores it at any given time depending on if their political candidate of choice is in office or not.

The math on this is actually wild when you break it down by day. Spending a million a day for 2025 years only gets you to about 739 billion, so we're still a long way off from a trillion. The debt clock hitting 39 trillion is a massive jump for just the first quarter of 2026.

Eh numbers seem wild till you factor in the hundreds of millions of people. Then it’s just really ducking large

How is it a handout when they take your money and give you some of it back?

Its government spending period.
The government is bloated and nothing but grifters. We are taxed to death to support their gift.

It's that simple.

You do understand it is Democrat spending and policies that created the debt we are in

Reagan is the one that pushed the boulder down the hill. His economic policy is what created it. Each president after just added to it.

Curious: so what happens if a poor person breaks a leg and needs surgery? Like I mean someone who doesn’t have insurance because low skill jobs don’t provide it but can’t afford it from secondary marketplace because min wage doesn’t keep up.

Like I’m not asking to be smart, I legit don’t know the answer. My ACL surgery was 60k (insurance covered most but I still paid 5k). Do they just go into debt rest of their life (if they even qualify) or just be crippled?

If we stopped giving money to every country going forward, we would still be in deficit yearly .

Cut social security

Stop being poor. You either cut social programs or live with all of them. They are a singular entity
