I would say white trash- or trash in general. Most of the rednecks I know (which is a lot) are the “leave it cleaner than you found it” type. Except, of course, for their own property which is covered with things we can’t throw away because we might need it.

A lot of people who grew up during the depression are very careful not to waste anything.

I actually did grow up with a burn barrel. Way out in the Texas country. We have trash service now. High cotton I tell ya. I still burn-a lot. I love a good fire. But now that I don’t have to burn my trash, I enjoy fires of well seasoned wood. I keep cardboard in hand. It makes great tinder.
