bullshite.

No one should be expected to sit there and be battered/assaulted by anyone. Male or female. Any sane woman (I know, i know) will tell you this: "If a woman is bad enough to hit a man, she better be bad enough to take the arse kicking she has coming."

I was taught the same bullshite about "never hitting a woman" and almost lost my freedom over it.

If they are acting like a woman (lady).

When they step into the realm of a man, and act like they are a man, they can get treated like a man.

This is not the chivalrous society it once was.

Pretty sure this guy wouldn't get any grace for pulling a gun on this woman.

Perhaps if it had been Aaron Donald?

Show me your legal degree to say that.

It depends on the state but in most you can't pull a gun on someone who punches you. In Texas which is one of the most gun favorable states it comes down to whether it was necessary to do so.

You guys downvoting are all just wrong.

You just conveniently leave out what i said?

She hit him and he pushed her away.

I think they are both getting "charged" with something but the jury is going to have to weigh if his response was excessive (in my mind it was not)

So we are agreeing

I was half joking, but, for real, if a man the likes of Aaron Donald wanted to hurt the average Joe by throwing punches, does Joe just have to take it or can he defend himself with a firearm in his possession?

Not guilty.

edit because I failed to fully answer.. no charges for anyone. She got what she deserved and hopefully learned a lesson, no need to charge her. No charges for him because he did nothing wrong. Call it a draw and go home.

Again it always comes down to circumstances. If someone comes at you with a baseball bat in Texas you can shoot them as a baseball bat can kill you. Aaron Donald is going to be judged differently than a 5'10'' guy who is 175 lbs. Fair or not

Near-perfect self defense and she isn't even really injured, just shocked someone fought back.

I will back you up here I guess. It heavily depends on the state and the other facts, but if it's literally just a "I got punched once so I pulled a gun and shot him", you are correct. Deadly force has to be justified
