You and a 90lb Mountain lion square up? Do you live

To tell about? First off if it's not a surprise attack and the mountain lion sees these knuckles I like my chances. I go straight for the throat and a rear naked choke. I figure its over in less than five mins. Poor lion never had a chance. How do you think you fare against this 90 lb beast and whats your plan of attack?

Hell, I'm no match for my 90-pound black lab. A 90-pound wild animal would have it's way with me in seconds.

Your brain is processing your method of attack while the cat’s razor like claws are slashing your throat.
Sounds like a good plan though.

A combat trained navy seal without a weapon is going to lose horribly in a fight with a 90lb mountain lion.
The claws and agility alone make it a foregone conclusion.

No. Next question.
And my plan of attack would be to look big and yell "Whoah Bear!" and hope it doesn't attack me. If it does attack then I'm dead.

No, and neither do 99.99% of humans.

honestly if its hell-bent on getting you at that weight I doubt you could fight it off, they have a 10ft vertical minimum.

Very likely no chance at all despite the lion being only 90lbs. Big cats have crazy freak strength and that lion can jump 15 ft from sitting down without even trying.
They are the perfect killing machine and their species is alive only because it has mastered how to immediately get to your neck and mortally wound you. That would happen in less than 3 seconds.
Only chance you’d have is being armed with a knife and can block your neck while fatally wounding it simultaneously. A body slam would expose your neck so that’s a no go. The more I think about it, if it is bare hands vs a big cat then humans have zero chance, we can’t kill anywhere close the that efficiency.

I stick and move when it lunges opening up a split second opportunity to get the cats back then grab his nuts and squeeze. Once I get its back I lock my legs and choke it out. GAME OVER

I only carry .45ACP, and I wouldn't stand a chance. Could I fight off a 50lb Belgian Malinois after dumping rounds into it? Possibly, but the way they can control you even getting ahold of a single limb is astounding. There's a great chance I'm never getting to my weapon.
With a big cat? I'm never going to hear it coming.

I would be pretty messed up, especially if it caught me off-guard, but im fairly certain i would survive.
now an african lion is a different story. females are almost 300 lbs and i would be a goner for sure, but a mountain lion at 90 lbs is do-able as long as you can keep its jaws off your throat.

it will go for your neck with its jaws.....
my onlty shot is to lead with my left hand and hope he latches onto it so i can use my right hand to go for his eyes.....
otherwise i am just another of his meals....

I would grab FLBooGoTigs1 and push him towards the Mountain Lion...then run.

Find a zoo that's crazy enough to allow you into a cougar's cage and let us know how it goes.
You'll need to sign a hold harmless agreement and give them next-of-kin info.

So what happens when you reach for the nuts and it turns out to be a female? Are your last thoughts dammit just got taken out by female

not a surprise attack
You think a cat isn't going to surprise you? They know stalking. Also, even a 90 lb cat can stand on the ground and likely put it's front claws on your shoulders, let alone if they leave the ground. Have you seen a housecat stretch out, or somehow find their perch spot 7 feet off the ground? It'd be a bloodbath the vast majority of the time. Your only salvation is that you may be suffocated by its grip on your neck before you bleed out.

BAW BEATS MOUNTAIN LION
if THIS baw can choke one out when it was trying to kill his dog, i think at least half the OT would survive.
quote:
Kauffman said he felt a wave of fear, worried the young cat's mother might be nearby and might join in the fight. But it was just the two of them. Locked in a struggle for life or death, they tumbled together 20 feet off the trail into a gully.
The lion was now on its back, but its teeth were still firmly clamped onto the man's wrist, and it was still scratching at him with its claws.
Kauffman used one leg to pin the animal's hindquarters to the ground. He then tried subduing the creature with sticks, he said, but they were rotten and did no damage. So he grabbed a rock and started smashing it onto the cat's head, stunning the creature.
That's when Kauffman says he screamed a "barbarian yell" and went in for the kill.
"I got my right foot onto its neck, and then I was able to get some weight onto its windpipe, and that's what eventually suffocated it."

Most of us would have a hard time getting a crazy house cat off of us if it attacked. No chance with a big cat.

They can rake you with their claws while you’re there on their back.
You’d be off in less than 3 seconds, but good thought!
