High school valedictorian, volunteer firefighter, and currently in community college. I'm just trying to think what I would have done as a mayor at 18 years old.

A town of 1k is 3x smaller than my home town. When i go back i always think of how tiny it is.

I mean lets be honest, they're really closer to guidelines than laws.

The most famous Yoncalla native is Rex Applegate

quote:

In 1941 Applegate was developing armed and unarmed close quarter combat courses for the US Army when he was recruited by Wild Bill Donovan for the OSS, specifically to build and run what was called "The School for Spies and Assassins", the location of which is now Camp David.[2] Donovan had Applegate learn all that he could about armed and unarmed fighting from William E. Fairbairn to form a brutal and effective system. He was the close-combat coordinator for all clandestine missions and this role brought him into contact with other fighters and martial artists of the time period such as a Finnish soldier who killed 21 Russians with a knife and the founder of the British SAS: David Stirling.[3] At one point during the war, he served as the personal bodyguard to President Franklin D Roosevelt.[1][2]

quote:

Books by Applegate

Kill Or Get Killed: A Manual of Hand-to-Hand Fighting (1943)
Kill or get killed: riot control techniques, manhandling, and close combat(1976)
Scouting and patrolling: ground reconnaissance principles and training(1980)
Riot control: material and techniques(1969)
Combat Use of the Double-Edged Fighting Knife(1993)
The Close-Combat Files of Col. Rex Applegate(1998)[8]
Bullseyes don't shoot back: the complete textbook of point shooting(1998) (with Michael Janich)

How stupid, I don't care what this kid has going for him, he has no business being a Mayor.

This is the result of shitty government officials the past few decades. People are just voting for anything different because they're fed up the system.

- 18 year old mayor
- Judge without a law degree
- Dead pimp
- Guy who is in jail

not Houston,

Harris County

and in Texas ,County Judge is the Chief Executive( Gov/Mayor) and Harris Co. would be the 24th largest state.
SO its as if a 27 yr old with ZERO job experience was elected Gov of South Carolina or Louisiana

and all those that serve in various roles with that Executive being replaced with other 27 yr old progressives with zero job expirience but an "agenda"

Considering how constitutionally weak the Governor of South Carolina is, that wouldn't be so far fetched.
