I don't think anyone here will disagree with residency being a long, arduous grind. You don't see me posting here about overpaid physicians.

Big difference between a CEO and a physician ...
No, the argument is pertinent because you are all complaining about living wages and other such issues when you can survive on below the poverty line salary quite easily and comfortably if you aren't an idiot.

I come out to about $23-24k/year.

How am I able to live in such meager pay when these idiots can't?

I have all of the amenities this girl seemed to demand and yet I still have a healthy amount of money in my bank account.

I think SFP has posted his list of "how to not be a frickup in life in easy steps" before.

I have very little pity for these people when I am able to do it quite easily.

We should also cap what movie stars can make. We should cap what musicians make.

What do you do? We should cap that too. You seem like you have too much money, we should take some of it.

What makes CEOs so evil while others get a total pass?

Where is the outrage that Taylor Swift pulled in over $75mm last year?

I'm just projecting my anger about having to stay at work even though I have nothing to do.

We need to give people living wages.

It sounds like "we" were giving her a living wage but she made bad choices and refuses to own the consequences of her choices.

Her parents failed her, "we" didn't.

I somewhat agree with you. The girl was stupid to move to a very expensive city. She was really stupid to post that on the internet, unless she wanted to get fired anyway. I'm sure she racked up a bunch of debt and it is the debt service that is hurting her. Of course, I suspect you aren't in San Francisco.

I'll have to buy a webcam. I'm a little behind when it comes to computer and phone technology.

No shite. I calculated out my pay per hour and it's well below minimum wage.

How? Here the starting salary for I's is around 48 thousand. If you worked a full 80 hours every week of the year, which doesn't happen, you'd still make several dollars over minimum wage.

Guy I know is my age (30) and a big wig at Uber.

I get the hint he's absolutely killing it. Not a driver of course

I can do that but if we're going to talk politics, I'd rather be sitting at the house on my big computer. If I'm not here (the house), I'm doing something.

You do know that almost everyone's cell phone is hacked? I have an I phone (which sucks since I can tell someone is jacking with it) and a throw away phone and I mostly use the latter. You know I'm not very trusting of technology.

I'll Skype politics with you, I have no problem but I want to be damn sure Skype can't be used to hack into my computer.

After taxes is the more pertinent number, although that may have been slightly disingenuous on my part.

Although, our starting salary isn't 48k.
