Boy, how things have changed.
Last year, at the dinner table, my son stood up and said that he had an announcement to make. He said that we was not gay.

Fall Guy had a good one a few years back if anyone is an archivist or if he will favor the thread with a drop in.

Something about a road trip and a trashy Alabama sis-in-law...

Oh there’s more. Half of the adults there tomorrow are bitter Alabama fans. The other half are shite-talking LSU fans. And it’s the first Thanksgiving together since both my grandparents passed. So they’re not there to mediate.

I expect to have lots to share tomorrow evening.

What a power move. Everyone knows you could have easily taken off that 1/2 day.

I get to spend this one with some of my very Baptist inlaws and I will be innebriating myself. I'll let yall know how it goes. Don't really expect any excitement.

I'm mainly here to commiserate with yall.

Don't let that priest bring reason and peace to the festivities. Do you have any books on the occult? Need to knock him off his game.

My future in-laws usually host, and one of us has to take a turn not being the one to drink because of driving home from so far. This year is our first year hosting, so we have 14 bottles of wine on deck in preparation!

(Ideally these make it to the two other "Friendsgiving" parties we have this week)

Record all their bets for LSU's path to finish the season and post them here.

There shouldn't be any drama in our house. As usual, it's just my wife and I and the cat. New cat this year, a ten week old Scottish Fold kitten. Against the wife's wishes, I'm gonna give the little chomper some Thanksgiving ham.

Family decided to move dinner to Sunday because the 30 year old cousin who finally has a consistent job for the first time in her life has to work.

So it’s just me, SO, and the cats tomorrow since we’re both getting over being sick.
