WWTOTD? Bought wrong phone case on eBay, tried to cancel 2 minutes later, Already shipped

Poking around eBay last night, found a used Speck case that was listed to fit my kid's iPhone 6s for $12. After I clicked submit, I happened to look more closely at the description, and, buried down in the details, was a note indicating the case was for an iPhone 6/6s PLUS--i.e., the larger phone size--NOT the smaller phone size/model listed in the headline and elsewhere.
So, within two minutes of placing the order, I submitted a request to cancel it through eBay. That was mid-afternoon on June 20; however, I get an email tonight stating that "We weren't able to cancel this order as the seller already shipped the item on Jun 21, 2019." Yeah, no way that item was shipped in the 120 seconds after I paid, and, as they note, it was not shipped at all until 6/21.
WWTOTD? I'm tempted to take a zen approach and just get the item, give it to someone else who may need it, and let it be a lesson to read descriptions more carefully.
OTOH, I would really like to inflict some sort of vengeance on this guy(?). I see that he has already given me a glowing eBay review for prompt payment, so I could probably get some satisfaction out of dinging him there for poor descriptions / communications.
Alternatively, I could see if "Newburgh, New York" has a Sonic and threaten to meet him there for a knuckle sandwich. As a backup to any of those, I could get on an anonymous web board and criticize this dude (?) from the safety and anonymity of my computer keyboard.
What say tOT other than tree-fiddy and PIIHB?

It’s $12. I wouldn’t let this ruin your weekend.

When you get it, draw swastikas and racially offensive words on the case with a Sharpie. Send pics to eBay, Antifa, and the local news in NY. When the shitstorm hits, tell him that you can make it go away if he gives your money back. After he returns the money, ghost him - you aren’t the UN so it’s not your job to resolve conflicts.
I give relationship advice, too.

This thread screams that you need the money back. So ask for a return label and get a refund.

This is a real catastrophe. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family

If true why the hell are you concerned about $12?

You’ve got $500 and whatever a monthly plan costs for your kid’s phone, yet you’re worried about $12?

OP is the dumbass for not carefully reading entire listing. EBay sellers hate people like him. Enjoy the buyers remorse and suck it up.

You know ebay FORCES the sellers to buy back anything they sell.

Just because you hit cancel quickly doesn’t mean the vendor saw the email prior to shipping.
I’m sure he’s not super thrilled over the fact he’s dealing with possible return or bad review over as $12 used phone case either
