There is still plenty open land in the Richmond and Rosenberg areas too. It’ll all turn to shite if apartments go up.

Truth, especially the parts of SL that boarder the stuff. Just like the Northern areas of SL bordering Mizzu City and such.

I REALLY want to move to Needville.

A house per acre? Folsom, Bush and the rest is about to be paved. Glad I am leaving, the destruction has been sad enough already.

southern tangi remains the better option compared to west STP
I live a relaxing life with no traffic or congestion aggravation and no crowds in the places I want to go

it is what mandeville/Covington used to be

If we were staying I was buying large acreage in mid Tangi. STT is done and out of my price range now for what I want.

As you are any color other than black, you will stand out there.

St. Joseph, the Parish seat is about 80% African-American.

Write when you get work, there’s probably no internet there.

Other cities/counties limit growth by allowing a small percentage of sewer hook up permits per year, Boulder county (CO) is an example of this ,something like 2% new sewer hookup permits per year.

What will St. Tammany look like in 20 years ?

I wish Ascension would come out and say the same thing. Instead, they just keep building and building, causing more flooding, and causing more traffic.

It was a joke, I have spent time in Tensas. If I am bezos I am not worrying about that yacht and building my own personal delta paradise buying up all of East Carroll or Tensas parish.

Because all these DSLD type neighborhoods sprouting up, especially in west St Tammany, don’t have the infrastructure in place. 2 lane rural highways that were built to accomodate a density of 30-40 homes per 100 acres or so are now full of cookie cutter subdivisions with 500+ houses per 100 acres. The other problem is the lack of east-west routes crossing the river. I-12, 190 Bogue Falaya bridge and the Hwy 22 bridge in Madisonville are the only routes across and the traffic is horrible at all of them
my question is who are all these people moving there? Where do they work? Where are they coming from?

Every single person reading this knows the answer to that question.

My family moved to Old Mandeville in 1988.. ever since i can remember , people have been saying ‘Just wait, in 20 yrs Mandeville will be just like Metairie’…. These are conversations people were having in the late 80s and the early 890s.. and they were exactly right.. now it’s been over 30 yrs since these conversations, and Mandeville /Northshore has far exceeded the congestion and general inconvenience of Metairie in the 80s and 90s…. So in 20 yrs from now, 2042, you probably wont want to reside in most parts of St Tammany Parish, unless you love gridlock and crime .

No faster way to get the Woke Police after you... Apartments are only for black people, apparently.

frick yes. Traffic and drainage is at a tipping point if it’s not already fubared.

When I get into Covington, the traffic situation is ridiculous. Also the new road design for 190 into Covington in some areas makes it very difficult to make left turns. To the point that I have periodically skipped going to some businesses because it is just too awkward to get to the them.

Yeah. The meth production has struggled to keep up with the population growth.

The ol' Sunday drive has turned into a chore...

Wasn't St. Tammany pretty rural a decade ago?

It’s growing in direct proportion to how fast New Orleans is collapsing. So yes.

Ding ding ding. No one’s getting carjacked in the Target parking lot in Covington or getting held at gun point in at the Mandeville trail head.

St Tammany will continue to grow until NOLA gets its head out of its arse.
