People can say what they want about wrestling being fake, and yes the outcomes are predetermined, but the injuries are real. Rollins tore every ligament in his knee, and went on to complete the match. Nothing fake about that.

Stone cold finished a match with a broken neck.

HHH finished a match with his entire quad torn off.

Nah. He'll inject a little steroids right into that knee and be back wrestling in no time.

No one is saying accidents don't happen, because they do.

But no one in wrestling wins a championship.

You're right, they don't win it, they earn it. WWE champion is arguably the hardest working athlete in sports and entertainment.

They earn the right to be given the championship. I wouldn't say they're the hardest working, but they work hard.

And you spelled Madmartigan wrong.

The fact that people feel obligated to post things like this because certain people are entertained by something like pro wrestling proves how stupid the people are that live in this country.

The only thing more stupid than people who think wrestling is real, are people who think that everyone that watches it must think it's real.

I knew wrestling was scripted since I was like 5, but that still doesn't stop me from watching it on Monday's with my kid, who is 9 and also knows it's scripted and still enjoys it.

But...but...how else am I supposed to have a false sense of superiority over other people if I can't judge them for their choice of entertainment?

Two quick things:

quote:

HHH finished a match with his entire quad torn off.

That was fricking legit. I remember watching that.

Second is I would love to see one more title run from Orton. 6-9 months where he is just over the top aggressive and dominant.

Orton just reinjured his shoulder. He will most likely be out for 4-6 months depending on surgery. Cena is taking time off and won't be back until late December because he is filming a reality tv show.

This is a great chance for WWE to take these young guys and turn them into the next generation, which they have failed to do so far. We need a new top heel now and a new top face (Cena and Rollins gone for now). This is prime change to place Ambrose on top and turn Reigns Heel... Or place Wyatt or Owens as the top heel...

Edit: I would do a rumble type match and winner wrestle reigns at Surviver series. Let Titus O'Neal win. Turn Reigns heel.

With everyone out hopefully this makes them build some newer guys. Would like to see them elevate Owens, Cesaro, Balor and bring up James Storm

quote:

Stone cold finished a match with a broken neck.

HHH finished a match with his entire quad torn off.

To continue with this:

Mick Foley finished a match with his ear ripped off.

Undertaker had a broken foot during the entire Hell in a cell match with Foley. (he noticeably winces when he drops to the ring).

Cena finished a match with his pectoral muscle torn off the bone.

She hasn't checked on me. She doesn't care. No one cares about my pain.

I just remember an interview I heard with Rollins a while back about Crossfit and how he had gone a really long time without being injured and attributed it partly to Crossfit. I guess the streak ended. He was an entertaining heel champion so it sucks but it will be interesting to see what happens.

It only took 7 post before "I'm too cool for wrestling guy" showed up.
