People drive way too fast on Highland Rd. It’s 45 mph. People drive 60 and pass all the time.

A roundabout sounds logical. But, I doubt people are smart enough to use it correctly.
Another place along Highland that's trouble. . . exiting Highland Road Park.

There are traffic circles all over now. Everyone goes through just fine.

It's a bad intersection. I use it almost every day.
The people coming down Highland from Highland Park don't see the intersection b/c they are up on a hill, and a curve a couple hundred feet before it.
The people trying to turn from Pecue onto Highland, can't really see the people coming down Highland from the I10 either b/c of how the intersection is set up with Pecue at an angle and Highland curving.
And then there's a ton of traffic on Highland and you don't realize how fast those cars are coming b/c you aren't seeing them until they are a few hundred feet from you.
Doesn't matter what you put at that intersection, i think you'll see accidents of people running into the back of cars when they come over that hill going up Highland from the Highland Park direction. If you aren't familiar with the area, you don't realize that you need to be paying attention for a possible slow down b/c of backed up traffic when you go over that hill.
A traffic circle will solve the issue with the intersection in regards to turning vehicles to and from Pecue, but I think you'll see more from people on Highland not aware that they need to slow down before that intersection b/c they don't see it until it is maybe too late.

the only reason I still use the FM radio in my car,
BR morning traffic survival guide includes watching one of the local morning shows for live traffic reports then having a talk station on for the traffic reports on the way into work.

They also need to put flashing yellow lights 100-ft away in both directions similar to what they have at Highland and Gardere.

There was a wreck on I-10 Westbound between Siegen and Bluebonnet as well as the fatal crash at picou and highland that had everything jacked up

The soccer fields on Saturdays make it really bad too. Besides the traffic it causes, pedestrians just dart out in front of you on what's a very winding, mix elevation area.

I got passed this morning around 8am on highland coming from Lee toward Kenilworth. Small white car had already passed behind me and then tried to go around 4! cars that were slowing down near Wylie. Car nearly slams into the first car that was turning left. Car attempts to run red light at Kenilworth and then passes a truck in front of me in the inside lane going around the curve (blind pass) just past Kenilworth.

Insanity. Just imagine if we could have police and sheriffs actually patrol and watch for terrible, reckless drivers.

Update
When Valhalla subdivision was approved in 2016, The developer was supposed to "fix" the traffic issue at the intersection of Pecue and Highland as terms of the approval of the development. Nothing was done. There are some councilmen who failed to listen to residents and developers that have some answering to do.....
