Is it just me that a set up like this makes it so much more easier for someone to observe all the patterns of a bank branch and not be the least bit suspicious while doing so. Giving people permission to sit in a bank branch all day without any questions being asked, just seems to invite people with bad intentions into these branches.

It's not a bank branch. It's literally a coffee shop with an internet connection directly to Capital One's website, an ATM, and free wifi. There's no vault, no cash other than what's in the machine, no tellers. You buy some coffee and you can log into your bank account, teleconference with someone from Capital One, talk to a Capital One "ambassador", use the ATM, etc.

Anyone can go buy coffee. If you have a Capital One card, the coffee's half price.

or when I need tipping cash for my all-inclusive Punta Cana vacation.

That's the reason for my last trip to the bank. I got $150 in ones and fives to take care of bartenders and such on a vacation down that way

Free wifi and good coffee. I will go work from the one near my house sometimes and its great.

Nothing will go wrong with this concept.

Mass loitering with people coming to deposit money.

While hipsters in skinny jeans run the place.

Add to that the love Cap1 has for Samuel L Jackson is enough to turn my stomach.

It’s an odd concept but 1/2 price Peet’s Coffee and excellent shitters make it a nice place to get some work done.

Went to get a replacement check card. Spent the entire time trying to figure out if I was at a bank or a hipster coffee shop. Women’s clothing store music blaring too. How do you run bank with no fing desks? I have seen the commercials but kinda thought it was a joke.

I’ve actually been involved with their makeover in Louisiana for the past 5 years or so.

It’s for sure a millennials thing, but I ain’t turning down the work

I’m not a fan of it FWIW

Worthless - and I work for the damn company. I've had a C1 bank account since I went to college in NOLA in 2003. Ended up having to close my account last year when someone stole my identity and they couldn't give me a temp replacement card on site.

Had to wait a week to get one in the mail. That was after waiting at the "cafe" while the "teller" called to have one sent to me (he was on hold for 30 mins saying it was because of the weather at whatever call center he was trying to connect with) while he was screaming at the teengers who were there loitering and wrestling in the place.

That being said, I switched to Chase and not thrilled with them either but at leastif something happens I can get access to my cash without having to write checks out to cash for a week.

They are primarily CC's. Walmart just saved a crap ton of people their jobs.

You obviously haven’t heard the latest message from Elizabeth Warren. Student loan debt is going to be forgiven, as in it will magically disappear.

Who said those liberal arts degrees are worthless?
