Long time lurker, but I'm bored and there has to be some people out there.

Rum & Diet Coke. I woke up early enough to make it to the store by 9pm to get some booze since they don't sell it after 9am anymore around here.

I'm stuck in Chicago. They will be the last to open. They are trying to "protect" us, but it's making things worse. If they don't start opening things up with regulations, people are just going to do whatever they want. My company told me we aren't going back until September and now they are saying Q1 of 2021. I've been in my house by myself since March, trying to be responsible. But this really sucks!
Our leadership (who is not even in my region) was adament at least one person from my team show up this week despite the fact that the company I am a contractor for went remote last week. Nobody is in the office, and there's no reason for us to risk taking public transportation to get to work when we can just work from home.

I finally got approval after I went in today and found out someone in my building confirmed positive. It's only a matter of time before it's in every building...
My peeps could be wrong, but it makes enough sense. I'm not trying to start an uproar. I don't think it would be hard to lure the Philly cops in with narcs. That's their fave.
I'm hearing this was a planned ambush attack and they purposefully lured the cops in.
When I lived in NOLA I had someone quit on me bc she said she would make more $$ from government assistance without her part time job. Tried to come back a few months later but I shut that down real quick.
Hang in there, celebrate him tomorrow and do something nice for yourself. My dad passed away a few years ago, but it is still always a tough weekend for me. I'm going out with my brother to eat his favorite food and share some stories - followed by a massage and a mani/pedi.

A few people have invited me to their Father's Day celebrations, but I don't think I'm ready for all of that.
Next time just ask to move - I've done this before. The one neighborhood I frequent in Chicago is all 30 somethings bringing their kids out - most of these places I would never bring my kid to, some are legit bars. I swear they have mommmy meet ups in these beer gardens because sometimes there are more kids than adults. One time there was literally a kid crawling under my table on the sticky floor full of booze.

Nothing you say to the parents or the kids is going to really help the situation. Typically, serving staff will understand because they are over stuff like that too.

Hi. Chicago, 32. Let's do this!
Worthless - and I work for the damn company. I've had a C1 bank account since I went to college in NOLA in 2003. Ended up having to close my account last year when someone stole my identity and they couldn't give me a temp replacement card on site.

Had to wait a week to get one in the mail. That was after waiting at the "cafe" while the "teller" called to have one sent to me (he was on hold for 30 mins saying it was because of the weather at whatever call center he was trying to connect with) while he was screaming at the teengers who were there loitering and wrestling in the place.

That being said, I switched to Chase and not thrilled with them either but at leastif something happens I can get access to my cash without having to write checks out to cash for a week.

They are primarily CC's. Walmart just saved a crap ton of people their jobs.
Not one person is eating McNuggets right now, besides me? Find that hard to believe as big as this board is...;-)
If OJ can get off on murder, anything can happen.

This dude is physco to be sticking by his claim but his life would be ruined if he admitted what seems to be the truth. I guess he's going to take it as far as he can because he has nothing to lose.

Nobody can turn a blind eye now, so hopefully the CPD does what they need to do to get to the bottom of it. It's some pretty heavy stuff, especially in our political climate.
The first thing I thought was if Versed was the drug prescribed the patient may have been combative. Maybe she purposely tried to zonk him out so she didn't have to deal with him/her. I don't see how it wasn't intentional.

When I tell people I lived in NOLA for 10 years I either get "OMG I love that city" or "will never go back again". No in between. I think it's one of the best cities in the world and super underappreciated. If you haven't done it right, you don't understand.
Rum & Coke's with Candy Corn...gonna be hurting tomorrow, but we got tacos at noon!

I've read that they still are involved in meat and produce, etc distribution in the north east.

waste management type companies, concrete bidness, kind of fills a dual purpose in their line of work

This, plus Heating & Air from what I've seen. I grew up in a suburb in the NE and they pretty much ran my small town. Plus. I knew some people in NOLA. The connections are still there, but things seem to be not super dramatic anymore. They're in with the politicians they need to know, sustain some kind of business as a cover up. Pretty quiet compared to the past, but it's definitely still there.
In 2018 the only thing you need cash for is drugs.
I'm like that but I've always attributed it to being a Capricorn. It's really biting me in the butt when it comes to the dating game, though.
He has a Netflix special - I went to see the taping in NOLA. I thought it was pretty funny.
The eyebrows more than drive this home. They might actually be the star of this story.
Experience can take you far in certain lines of work, however, once you hit a certain level you need that degree no matter the experience. One could argue not in smaller businesses, but def. in corporate from what I've found.
