How does a proud warrior from the African nation of Zimbulubulu end up with a name like Jim Harris?

sad there was no mention of Skandar Akbar in this article. my introduction to Kamala was when he was managed by Skandar Akbar in the old Mid-South days

My good friends dad owned well past its hey day. He mostly ran shows in Houma and occasionally in Morgan City and Chalmette in the mid 90s. I met Chris Adams, Scotty 2 Hotty, Kamala, JYD, CoCo B Ware, Mr. Wrestler.......
It was actually pretty sad. I seen a dude drive in from Alabama get his head split open (with a razor) and got paid $15. Most of the big name guys got about $2-$300 a match but they would take polaroids at intermission for $5-$10 a piece to make more money. JYD got $500 and my buddys dad damn near had a heart attact worrying if he was going to make money or not. He didnt make much running shows, maybe a couple hundred.

I worked for Mid-South back in the mid-90s. Your buddy's last name Hebert? I knew all those guys -- Kamala, JYD, Terry Gordy, Mr. Wrestling III (Dale Wolfe), Crazy Joe, John Saxon, etc.

I got a polaroid of me and JYD from the Baker Muni center back in the day. I'd say late 80s. One of my prized possessions.
