hope she ends up in WWE or NXT eventually.
At some point WWE is going to have to be picky about the women they bring over. It's obvious that they have a loaded women's division in NXT. There's maybe 3 spots depending on returns from injury/breaks (i.e. Becky/Asuka/etc.).

Paige will have a leg up since she was the original champion from the NXT pipeline to win WWE gold. Mariah May will probably replace Vaquer in NXT. Bayne down the road (someone should get fired for not signing her.) The new class of recruits this summer. At some point they run out of spots. They might be able to add another match to each show if they cut out some of the nonsense.

So, as predicted, Paul betrayed Roman and Punk. My question is “why?”

How did y’all come to that conclusion weeks ago?

For that to be his “take” after that brilliance is so typical though

Yea I mean that's a good point

It would be like if he had said he felt the main event had issues because some of the moves or spots looked fake.....like why are you even watching wrestling? That's what wrestling is, sounds like you don't even like it

I'm reading an article about the AAA acquisition and this stood out to me as an "out of left field" possibility for Orton.

Regarding the status of AAA Mega Champion and formerly WWE outcast Alberto El Patron (Del Rio), the subject of much controversy throughout his career as well as allegations of abuse in his personal life, it was reported that for years WWE had given a "hard no" on working with El Patron. But those close to Del Rio are said to have claimed that he has said otherwise, the two sides had discussed possible appearances, and the relationship was no longer "contentious."

If you couldn’t enjoy that match and what transpired you have a major stick up your arse.

Main event was awesome. El Grande Americano is also awesome.

I first started watching wrestling with my dad in 2010ish or so when del rio was champ. If he comes back I would love the frick out of that just for the nostalgia.

Keller’s Analysis: A lot happened in that match before Heyman helped Seth win, so that aspect of the way the story was told was contrived. What if Roman or Punk scored a three count before Heyman could turn on them?

Meh. I feel like one could argue Heyman remained conflicted about the double-cross up until the opportunity presented itself. Or that he knows the three guys well enough that there wouldn't be a quick three count.

Hell, maybe Seth encouraging Roman to team up on Punk earlier in the match was the "original plan" for Roman to let down his guard and eliminate Punk from the picture, so Heyman could then more easily manipulate/screw over Roman for Seth.

I'm overthinking it for this time of night, but like others have said, you have to be really nitpicking to not have enjoyed the hell out of that match.

I watched the final minutes again without sound. Paul deserves an Oscar for that performance. Seth, not so much. That must have been the hardest chair shots of all time with Roman losing them into Punk. He sold that for damn near 5 minutes. Seth or Paul not speaking tonight all but telegraphs some involvement during night 2.

As for whether it's late for this thread... The Saturday After Dark party still has 45 minutes before its over.

I hated Zeb Colter with him because it just made no sense I was also a fan of Jack Swagger I thought he was misused by Vinces creative.

I’m going to spitball and say because he’s pissed his “best friend” put him in that position. He’s also pissed at Roman’s reaction and dismissal of him. Remember Roman left him to the new bloodline wolves last summer despite his loyalty.

I think it’ll be something along those lines at least before you even go into any deeper plot.

Four good matches on the show:
Jade Cargill vs Naomi
Jacob Fatu vs LA Knight
El Grande Americano vs Rey Fénix
Triple Threat

Favorite match: El Grande Americano vs Rey Fénix

Night 1 Rating: 3.5 stars, good enough to watch once but nothing there to compel a rewatch

That’s what is great about an art genre: you like what you like and can enjoy it any way you choose.

Jade Cargill vs Naomi

this was the surprise match of the night for me. I was not expecting much and they put on a good show.

She has come a long way from her AEW debut. Still a goddess of strength and the charisma drips off of her presence, but now she works with a little bit of pace and has much better timing.

Uso- Gunther: 1.5* Easily Gunther's worst PLE showing. He seemed disinterested and wrestled soft.

New Day- War Raiders: 1* That wasn't even a good Raw match. Yikes.

Jade- Naomi: 2* Both women have aura, but the match wasn't clean.

Fatu- Knight: 2* Smackdown main event, not a WM title match. Would've benefitted from a street fight or no holds barred stipulation.

Grande- Fenix: 4* Great match, was better than if Mysterio was in it.

Stratton- Flair: 1* They have below zero chemistry in the ring. That was awful.

Rollins- Reigns- Punk: 4* Now that was a true WM match. We all saw the ending coming a mile away but I was sports entertained.

WrestleMania 41 Night One: 2* In a bubble WM41N1 is Top 5 bad. A good lucha match and triple threat with no stakes isn't enough to make this show have any rewatch value. Night Two cannot be worse than last night so we got that going for us.

I would absolutely lose my mind if Alberto Del Rio's original wwe music hit.
