It was mentioned earlier and watching highlights I think it was on point. The first 3 hours of this show were done during the day/twilight. It handicaps the spectacle. The Can-Am vs Orton & Murraco felt like a dud live but it is a really good match when you watch it now. This was the card:
quote:

Can Am Connection def. Cowboy Bob Orton & Magnificent Muraco

Full Nelson Challenge
Billy Jack Haynes vs. Hercules went to a double count-out

Hillbilly Jim, Little Beaver & The Haiti Kid def. King Kong Bundy, Lord Littlebrook & Little Tokyo by DQ when Bundy flattened Little Beaver

Loser Bows Match
King Harley Race w/ Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and Fabulous Moolah def. Junkyard Dog

The Dream Team, Brutus Beecake & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, w/ Luscious Johnny Valiant and Dino Bravo def. The Rougeau Brothers

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper def. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis w/ Jimmy Hart

Hart Foundation & "Dangerous" Danny Davis w/ Jimmy Hart def. British Bulldogs & Tito Santana

"The Natural" Butch Reed def. Koko B. Ware

Intercontinental Championship
Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat w/ George "The Animal" Steele def. Randy "Macho Man" Savage w/ Elizabeth to become new champion

Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart def. Jake "The Snake" Roberts w/ Alice Cooper

Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Sheik def. Killer Bees by DQ

Main Event for WWE Championship
Hulk Hogan def. Andre the Giant w/ Bobby "The Brain" Heenan to retain
Piper vs Adonis was the first match that felt like a real WM match. Then a lull before Savage-Steamboat. That first match was far better than Bees vs Volkoff and Sheik. Lighting matters and when you're in a dome, you are really limited on what you can do as an alternative.

You can dislike him on a personal/professional level but you can't deny his mic skills.

He's top-5 all-time in that department.

Keller’s Analysis: A lot happened in that match before Heyman helped Seth win, so that aspect of the way the story was told was contrived. What if Roman or Punk scored a three count before Heyman could turn on them?

To be honest he isn't wrong but a lot of wrasslin stories have this issue

You just have to kind of accept it and enjoy the story

Interesting that Heyman is now with Seth as if Seth needed a mouthpiece. Then again neither did Punk or Reigns. Lesnar sure did.

To be fair, modern American society isn't wired to really "enjoy" anything.

He’s articulate sure. I just don’t like his promos or find them particularly effective. He’s always come across as incredibly bitchy. He’s like the arcade fire of wrestlers to me Different strokes and all that.

Of course they do

For that to be his “take” after that brilliance is so typical though

Looking at tomorrow's lineup, I don't think there's a match that won't out do the first 6 matches tonight. There are 3 unknowns. How will Priest and Drew's street fight play out? The tag match likely relys on Lyra's partner being Becky. Will we get Rusev or will Randy's opponent disappoint?

This was a really unbalanced 2 night card. They should've moved the New Day-Raiders match to RAW and given that spot to the TLC match. Even the press conference tonight was bad. Until the main event, tonight was inferior to the 1st RAW on Netflix. But man....we got to see a match that's on the same tier as Savage-Steamboat and a few of those Attitude Era Mania matches.
