Remotely. Yes.

Have to be in the office? No way.

Have to be in the office with my coworkers? Frick no.

I'm working Christmas morning 1:30a-6:30a. I'll be by myself, so it will be easy.

I get 2.5x normal pay for holidays worked and additional leave.

It depends on what it is. I work from home, so that would be easy money for me.

Nobody would pick up the christmas day call shift in our group.

Had to raise it to $5k to get somebody to bite

What would I be doing? Prob not either way. I’m at a point in my life where I’m not that desperate for money.

Kind of a dumb way to ask if $263.25 is worth missing Christmas with your loved ones.

Even less after taxes and whatever you buy them to assuage your guilt.

No, as that would be a significant drop from my hourly-adjusted salary.

Absolutely. Did it for many, many years. Shows how fat, lazy, and flush society is nowadays that a man won't work on Christmas Day to earn for his family or self.

My old daddy worked drilling oil wells for many years, remember maybe once or twice he was off for Christmas.

I get more then that per hour of holiday pay. It would take a whole lot more than that to make me actually work it.

I schedule myself for all holidays, its easy money and I'm home by the time everyone else is up.
