No more than my regular needs. I do not go out of my way to shop anywhere, unless they are in financial straights. I did buy a few times more than normal when the new Walk-Ons opened up during the COVID-19 shutdown.

No, I don’t give a frick about a business’s political opinions, yet here I get emails telling me that they’re against white supremacy. Who the frick is for that? And where are these roving bands of white supremacists that are supposedly threatening and crippling our country. This must be the most covert operation of all time.

I would rather not because it would affect my desire to do business with them.

Businesses are businesses, let emotion be done by individuals.

Well staying a part of something like that kind of includes you into those beliefs.

No, it doesn't.

Should you be implicated because your boss has an opinion some may deem controversial?

I honestly don't care where they stand. I'd prefer not to hear it, but when I do hear it and I know I don't agree with their stance, I don't mind still shopping there. I'm not one to usually try and be a part of a movement, as long as their product is quality and they give me good customer service, then I will still shop there.
I'm not one to boycott somewhere just because they aligned with something I don't personally align with. Maybe that's selfish? Oh well

Probably need to distinguish between a company actually taking a stance and non owner employees taking it upon themselves to take a stance and attribute it to the company when they do not have the authority to do so.

I really don't care how a business stands on an issue.

I would only care if they asked me, as a customer, to do something that I disagree with.

But a business just holding a position on an issue? Why would anyone care of that? Do we all have to agree with everything? It's so fricking dumb.

My question was if a business decided to take a side on something you didnt agree with would you not shop or not work there? Or if they have those feelings of something you did not agree with but choose not to sure it. How would that make you feel knowing you are a supporter/customer of theirs?

I don’t want to know your business, so don’t tell me your business. If a business wants to take a public position on a divisive issue or what have you, it’s clearly their prerogative To do so, but it’s also to their peril or to their credit, which is why it’s not very smart business to do so, especially politically. You’re just asking for it, and it’s completely unnecessary, unwanted, and very dumb. If I’m in the business of selling hamburgers for example, what do I care if you’re a Trump supporter or a Biden supporter? I’m selling hamburgers, and the money is just as green if it comes from a Trump supporter or a Biden supporter, and I want both of their green dollars.

Maybe I miss the mark. But the question. I was asking are you ok with making the person who hates you very very rich by shopping there or working for them? ?

Me personally? Yea. I mean I'm a black man, I know that racism still exists. Most of our grandparents,(and some posters on here) were here before the civil rights movement happened.

I'm 100% sure there's some old white men CEOs of some companies somewhere that doesn't give a shite about me as a black person, and thinks the 50s and 60s was the best decades. I'm well aware that I have made some racists somewhere rich by my shopping habits. And I honestly don't care. As I said before, provide me with good service, then that is all I care about. Treat me with respect, at your locations, then I will never have a problem with you.

So would you rather support a business who practices hate speech, funds abortion clinics, and support illegal immigrants and not know or care to know

Or have the option to support or not based on what the business say or do?

I get tired of their obsequious approach with customers, and I only went three or four times per year. Their culture would not seem so manufactured if I encountered an Ordinary a-hole employee from time to time. After finding Canes, I don’t go to CFA much.

Voting with your wallet is the American way. If you don't like a business's position on social issues, there are other choices.
