Would you treat them differently?

I often reflect on the idea that many of us would benefit from choosing a different seat in the room — metaphorically speaking — to shift our perspective. We rarely see things as they truly are; instead, we see them through the filter of who we are. Everything in life is processed through the lens of how we view ourselves.
This idea struck me even more deeply after watching this video depicting people in a hospital. Each individual was navigating their own unseen struggles — some were happy, others sad, some worried and many were scared.
It was a powerful reminder that everyone’s experience is unique, and we often have no idea what burdens others are carrying.
YT Video - 4 min. 23 sec. long

It's good to be reminded that everybody you come across in your day could be going through the worst experience that they ever have had
I know we joke around on here a lot and the way or the habits that we all fall into this board sometimes I think that were too quick to joke or even too quick to overreact to a joke
It's a good video and a good reminder the part about the 19 year old kid on life support
that got me

Yep. I remind myself all the time, that yes, I have a few health issues at my age, but there are many people with far worse. Reminds me to be fortunate and thankful

Its like i say to people i meet in stores and walking around town all the time. You never know what someone is going through! Treat with respect and be there for fellow man! Stop the hate and discriminateing. Makes me sick to see fellow humans being treat poorly!

Great video. Important reminder. We get wrapped up in ourselves and lose perspective with other people.
It’s human.

This is why when someone asks you how you are doing? Tell them how you are doing. Don't just say "good". Whether good or bad, detail. Don't talk ears off, but detail.

Everybody needs a little reminder from time to time

Great reminder to be kind and uplift others. Not only because it's the moral thing to do, but because it benefits ourselves as well.
Sounds corny, but I believe in it with all my being.

I teach CPI (crisis prevention) for healthcare and I use this exact video during my presentation. Truly is a great reminder that you never know what the person across from you is going through.

Is this a way to convince me to accept people who get abortions or be against executions for murderers?
If so, ain’t happening.

This is why I have disdain for those who say "I hate small talk"
Small talk is usually someone warming up to the real, deeper conversation.

Yep- life is fleeting.
That's why I'm drinking beer tonight while watching the LSU-Texas game.
