Their boss would tell you “okay, sorry about that.”
And then the boss would go on with his life as should your wife.

The landscapers got into a scrap at my kid's school when I was waiting in the pickup line. One dude was extremly bloody. I had just missed the action, but watched the aftermath of it being broken up and bloody guy just pacing around trying to cool off with another guy trying to calm him down. They all eventually packed up into the same truck and drove off. It's just redneck stuff.
Get mad. Fight. Calm down. Get back in the truck and go about your day.

If I hired painters and they didn't get into a fight, I would assume they suck at painting.

Most painters I have come into contact with were either drunks or high.

Had an exterior paint job yesterday and as the guys were leaving, two of them got into a scuffle in my driveway. Lasted about three seconds before the third guy ran up and broke them up. They left right after. My wife was mortified and said we need to report them to the contractor. I thought the paint job looked great and what’s a bit of a brouhaha after painting in miserable summer heat?
I had two drivers get in a fight outside our shop one day. Was witnessed by a couple folks, one reported it to me a couple weeks later. I let both of them go, you can’t be that unstable.

Being brutally honest, your wife isn't a man. She wouldn't understand that these types of things happen from time to time. ESPECIALLY outside in the summer heat, all it would take is one wrong word and I'm sure I'd be ready to swing on someone. That doesn't mean we can't enjoy a beer together when we cool down. Calling the contractor over something so miniscule could cause problems for them that your wife has never even thought about, because she's a woman and doesn't have to. Just let it be. If the contractor calls you and asks if you noticed or saw anything, sure, tell him everything, but there's less than a 1% chance of that happening.

Hell naw.
Pick a side and get in the mix!
[fight or die]
They don't really feel pain like we do because of that.

They didn't go to Sonic first?

If you call to report them make sure you ask to speak to a manager.

Don’t be a bitch about it. 2 dudes had some words, duked it out and probably went for beers. Nothing more, Nothing less

Let it go. No reporting.
