If I knew when then I could do any crazy shite and not die before that date. That would have its advantages

I could make sure I had more life insurance and that I had my house in order. There is nothing worse than an unexpected and sudden death.
I know I may be thinking a little too much about this, but something tells me the life insurance industry would look very very different if people suddenly knew when or how they would die

I would pick when but I'm going into this on the assumption that I have decades to live and plan things out.

If you told me it would be within the next 3 years, I would be all "MuthafrickER!"

Ain't nothing in the scenario stopping you from being stupid and living the next six decades as a vegetable.

Not quite. A crashing plane would hit you while you were feeling smug about living forever.

Eh, If I had to know, it would probably be how.

No way I would want to when... you would constantly be watching in anxiety.

If you knew how you could try to prolong it if you wanted to.

In this scenario it appears that your fate is already destined, so why would you try to prolong it? The how and when is already set, you just only get to know one of them.

When.

That way I can make an attempt to rob some banks a couple of months before. See if I can get away with it

Same. Knowing either would only lead to me thinking more about that than actually living my life. It also gives a sense of control, as if it could be avoided somehow.

I'd like to know when. I've always thought if I knew i was gonna die soon that I would go ahead and take some pure evil people when I go.

For instance, pedophiles who are completely guilty and get a light sentence or find a loophole.

Those people need to die. The victims deserve a life with the relief that this person can never do this again. A well placed bullet can do just that.

I am actually Quaker by faith and not into violence or vengeance but pedos are pure evil who destroy innocence and childhood. It is not wrong to hate or to seek to extinguish that which is evil and harmful to most vulnerable.

Would be a terrible way to go through life, counting off the days. The uncertainty of it all is what makes it special

Absolutely, the lesson is live life now. Don't wait, do something and consider every day a blessing.

Life is short, I treat it as such.
