I have been threatening my wife that we are going to sell everything, buy a nice RV and head west with no itinerary. Due to recent stressful events that put this short life in perspective... I am now really beginning to think it might actually happen.

the only thing keeping me from buying one in the basin is my two dogs. when they go i want a house boat. saw one that was pretty new the other day for about 35k. i think it was around 800 square ft living with two decent sized porches.

That sounds fricking awesome. But alas, life simply won't allow it for some of us

I could do a nice motor home if it were just me and my wife. House boats are cool but they don't mix well with alcoholism.

You can rent these on a lake in Edgar Evans State Park in Tennessee (not too far from Nashville) I have not done it but may try to get the sister and brother in law to go with us..

If I was fully single after graduation, I would have strongly considered an old sportfisher to live on. But was in a serious relationship and once I built up savings, an engagement was on the horizon. Wife was not so keen on the idea.

I have done a lot of research on RV’s.

I discovered I could buy a blue watering sailing catamaran for about the same money.

I wouldn’t want to live it on it permanently, but could easily spend a couple years circling the globe.

They must be smoking rocks in Seattle if they get close to 2 million for that.

Hell yeah. Stayed on a houseboat in Apalachicola and it was awesome. Fishing from the front porch every day?! Are you kidding me?!

Would love to do motorhome life. The bad thing is they cost as much as many slab homes and depreciate like a car.

Some of those are very nice. I use to live on a boat in that view below that.
Would pick that over a motorhome any day. Even an old one and tenants have complained about frequent water on those.
