I know the Philippines is very poor, and from time to time I read about kidnappings and assassinations.
What makes me lack fear of the Philippines is Filipinos. They are a meek people.

Singapore would be my first choice if I had to leave North America. I have heard great things about Abu Dhabi though.

I've heard a lot of good things about Singapore. I would pick Asian countries all day every day over any mideast country.

Korea is not expensive. Seoul can be. I live here. You could put me pretty much anywhere in Asia and I'd be happy for a while. If money and work weren't an issue I'd live in Japan forever.
