that's plenty if it's a mugging. mugging isn't a big deal. what if it's more serious? rape? beating? etc.

I think about this sometimes. I carry everywhere I go. When I’m training at the range or just imagining scenarios that could happen, I like to think I would step in.

It's an interesting question. Because the way things are going in certain places- a LOT of certain places- that opportunity may very well present itself.

Ask Daniel Penny if you should help? LOL, I’d probably still help anyway I could within reason and common sense.

I probably lean towards not getting physically involved

Having a gun on you makes it easier, you aren't trying to prove your twice weekly BJJ classes will work in the real world.

I just thought about it, and if the robber was a black woman, that's probably the one case I'm just getting in my car and leaving. Their lack of impulse control means my firearm is going to end up in evidence for months.

I chased a purse snatcher once. He had about a 200 foot head start on me so there was no way I was catching him, but I still made the effort.

I honestly don’t know and hope this never happens, but if it does we’ll find out.

Same.

For defensive purposes we often practice with 2-3 silhouette targets at once. From that experience if there's more than one mugger it's going to be a tough call.

That’s a good drill. Need to incorporate more of that.

You're an idiot. Everyone has a smart phone and that is about the only thing of value anyone carries anymore, plus the poorer are more likely to carry cash than cards.

Women stopped wearing jewelry, huh? How many OT threads are there on wristwatches and handbags. Not every idea you have is a good one. Maybe sit the next couple out.

I struggle with this. As a husband and father, I have to be very selective about risking my life and leaving my wife and kids unprotected and not provided for. At this point in my life, I probably lean towards not getting physically involved but later in life that probably changes.

I was friends with kids who lost their dad trying to stop a purse snatching. SOB shot him dead.

Why would we want to help somebody? That’s what nuns and Red Cross workers are for.

Depends. Is the criminal black?
Could be.

Much more likely than say a native Icelandic person.
