I did one time but the old frick bailed when I stepped out the truck. After the last few years seeing people get trigger happy as much as i'd like to bash some heads in I value my life and family too much to deal with something like that.

I'll probably still shoot you the bird and call you a few names, but i'll get over it.

No way. Too many cameras, guns and crazies out there.

Agreed. Nothing anyone does on the road is worth me risking my life over. When you have kids it's not just about you anymore.

Naa I carry a gun. You have to keep your composure and are held to a higher standard when carrying. I did have a guy beat on my window at an exit one time because he was about to run out of gas but I couldn't move. It was funny watching him trip over the curb thinking I was gonna shoot him.

No

I got pretty close to throwing down with some douche a couple years ago and felt bad about it for a week or two. None of the outcomes are worthwhile. Chances of me getting my arse beat in that scenario were pretty low, but the upside was what - feeling vindicated for pummeling some dork and hoping to avoid getting arrested? Dumb.

Plus, if you carry, IMO it's your responsibility to avoid that level of confrontation at most costs.

A few years ago a car almost hit me in heavy traffic on Perkins. I shout frick you and both of our windows were down.

We stop. Three young black guys jump out.

Not one to take an arse whipping sitting down. I jump down, with a machete in my right hand and my left hand resting on a gun under my seat.

Turns out the guys were pissed at their driver and were just walking to taco bell across Perkins.

They look up, see me, and one says "that white boy wilin the frick out"

I laugh. They laugh.

I shout, "my bad man!" As they hit the parking lot.

I stay in the vehicle now

Yep. Always assume the other person is crazier than you, because they probably are. Nothing good comes from getting out of your car anyway.

Best road rage story I have. I'm on Florida Blvd heading into Denham Srings. Sitting at the red light by Racetrac. The two guys in front of me are jawing with each other.

Dude in the left lane gets out of his truck, walks over to the car in the right lane, opens the passenger door and takes the guys keys out of the ignition and throws them across the street into the ditch. The guy in the car didn't do anything either

When i12 at O’Neil was being redone, I had a guy trying to merge from O’Neil. I followed the rule and already had allowed one in. He started on the horn. Then traffic went from a crawl to a stop. The flat-billed horn blower climbed out of his truck and started double timing it to my car. I met him passenger side at my hood in the merge lane...and that’s where I left him.

Pulled up behind a car once at a red light and could see the male driver screaming at the female passenger. Well , super busy stop light so we set through one green I mean we moved forward of course but not enough to get through the intersection. Anyay eventually the driver hit the female.

Yes, I got out of my car and confronted him. Douche gets out of his car and as he's squaring up to me his meth rig falls out of his car onto the street right in front of the cop who had rolled up in time to save this guy an arse whipping.

Had a road rage incident week or two ago.

Scenario:
4 lane hwy
I was in left lane passing slow truck, a-hole behind me is passing too going very fast , ... I try and get back over in right lane and this guy cuts in right lane trying to pass me too.
I put my blinker on to get right and he speeds around me on shoulder, cuts back over in right lane in front of me and break checks me...
I’m not happy at this point.... so he gets over in left lane slows down to get parallel with me and tolls his window down... so do I

After a couple FUs and racial shouts he pulls over to fight me... I psyched him out by faking pulling over and I keep going.
Traffic was a little heavy so he couldn’t get back in... never saw him again Bc of a red light I made it through.

frick him. He mad.
People are crazy. That’s why I carry a gun.
Never know what can go down.

In hindsight I prob should’ve never rolled my widow down to engage him but frick this thug.
My white male privilege and ego over took my thinking for a brief moment.

Years ago I was riding with somebody and a guy in the car behind us got ate up with the road rage. He followed us for probably 10 minutes flashing his headlights. We reached our destination and my buddy asks if he should pull in or keep going until the rager gave up. I told him to pull into the parking lot.

I get out and walk over to the guy's passenger window, he rolls it down, and points a pistol at me. We yelled back and forth a bit and then he said he'd call the cops on me. I said "Go ahead you dumb frick... you're pointing a gun at me for no other reason than you're being an a-hole. Let's see what the police think about that." He rolled his window up and left. I was acting like the gun didn't bother me the whole time but I was really thinking "I hope this mfer doesn't shoot me."

The great irony in this post is that person with the gun will shoot you for exactly the same reason, they value their life/family too much to deal with ole Billy Badass getting out of his truck looking to crack some skulls because he's a big dummy.

Once. Back in the late 90s. Times were different then. Wouldn't dare do it in this day and age. Always think of Joe McKnight.

No. Not ever.

I believe in a polite society- and have committed myself to being a card-carrying member.

Exiting your vehicle over a non-accident increases the chases of escalation. There is absolutely no reason to do that.

Nope:

1) Never make eye contact; try to drive away slowly and leave the area;
2) If you cannot leave the area and someone is threatening you, call the police, stay in your car, lock the doors, and do not make eye contact.

People who think they own the road and act in such a fashion typically have nothing else in life and are deranged enough to injure you. Those type of people are not worth my time.
