I really miss my Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. Magnum V6 had plenty of power. Had 186K miles on it when I sold it, and it didn't squeak or rattle at all. Solid truck. RAM should still be making them.

And this is why I don’t get the “trucks are so expensive you can’t get one for under $50k anymore what happened” argument.

There are rumors that Ram is coming out with a mid sized truck soon.

The Dakota is a great truck. It feels like it is full size inside.

Those trucks can’t carry or pull much more than a Honda Civic

A V6 Tacoma can pull 6,800. That's good for a boat for sure.

My brother in law still drives his '98 Dakota V8

It's worn the F out but he loves it. Only needs it for 5mi work commute and weekend warrior stuff

That generation Dakota was one of the best looking small pickups ever. Especially the higher trim levels

If it had 4wd, a crew cab, automatic transmission, and a good sound system, sure.

Those trucks are good for what 99% of folks really need for a basic utility vehicle...

There was a time you bought a pickup truck to do actual work in. Too many people are driving pickup trucks that don't use them for work, definitely can't afford them, in contrast to the few who actually need them.

I don't get people who click on topics about things they hate just to complain about them.

I will never understand that mentality unless it's some sort of policy/politics.

Got a 4 door 2020 Ranger for work. Love it. Drives like an SUV but I can still haul material.

Don't have to tow anything so I don't care about all that.

It’s not a truck if you are worried about scratches and dings.
