Pricing puts it up against the Dodge Charger, $30k is starting MSRP for SXT models and $40k is in R/T territory.

The OT loves to make fun of this car, but I deeply appreciate an old school, rear drive V8 American muscle car like that. I'd give it bonus points if it had a hood ornament. I wish that Ford and GM would bring the Taurus and Impala back as a rear drive, V8 semi-muscle car sedan like that. Even though I know the market probably couldn't support all of those models.

Dodge may be cheaply built and lack the brand cache that other carmakers have, but it's unapologetic about being the most anti-woke vehicle out there. And even the base level HEMI motors sound cool. Few vehicles probably piss off Uncle Sam more than a heavy sedan with an unnecessarily large V8 engine.

I kind of miss the old Lincoln Town Cars and Ford Crown Vics too. You could land a Cessna on the hood of those things. I'd probably buy one today if they came out with a higher HP version with the modern infotainment technology.

If you ever drove one on a highway for any length of time, you'd probably appreciate them the way I do.

Recently bought my kid a new Civic touring. I’d consider one of these after being in that car. It’s expensive for a civic but a really nice car. I’d buy over a base German all day long.

You have to be about 5’5” to fit comfortably in a Civic. That doesn’t meet OT standards.

As an Acura/Honda guy I gotta say this one is a little disappointing. They didn’t do enough IMO to differentiate it from the Civic. It appears to simply be a next gen ILX, which was a very disappointing and underwhelming car. I wonder what the Type S will look like though.

The new TLX looks to be much better.

Just a rebranded ILX. It's still a dressed up Civic.

I hate this new trend of having a full sized laptop screen pop out off the dash.

I agree. The Integra was always just a dressed up Civic, so they are keeping that here. They should have kicked up the power to 230 HP and 250 torque, ditched the CVT for the 10 speed in the TLX, and put double wishbone up front.

Omitting ventilated seats was a bad idea, but the ELS 3D sound system will be great, as they all are.

I think it’ll sell well — it’s also a 5 door, which is a huge plus.
