Depends on factors that don't include a guy in a Halloween costume in the listing pictures.

But frick Michigan.

The part in the post where it says the local school districts are rated 1-2 out of 10 likely has a lot to do with that lack of property value.

My first house was a little bigger than that for a lower price.

I'd definitely need to put at least one more bathroom in there, which would be very feasible at that price point.

I'd buy in a heartbeat as a potential flip or rent house

I don’t know about Lansing. But doing that in Detroit would be a losing proposition solely because property taxes are so out of control.

People deed properties back over to the city in lieu of selling them because no one wants them there.

It just seems a little pricey for a unique fixer-upper opportunity, that's all.

Lansing sucks, and that neighborhood isn’t great.

I grew up there.

This is a crime map for the neighborhood for the last 6 months.

ETA the pics are fantastic, though.

Some of the pictures are missing the spooky guy. Hard pass.

Looks like it has potential to be a good murder basement, but I don’t see a floor drain anywhere.

Decent curb appeal, I like the wood floors, terribly chopped up kitchen, shite schools, only one bathroom, and it's in Lansing, MI.

So, no.

Looks like it sold for $39,000 in 2010, someone is going to make a profit.

Also no AC... I couldn't handle that even in a place like Michigan.
