I don't think it is a big deal if you are some random guy she met on the internet. You aren't going to reveal your shady past if you have one.

So I recently went on a few dates with this girl I met online and her friend ran a background check on me. I have an MIP and negligent driving on my record that happened 10 years ago. I went into the Army afterwards and LSU and never made any mistakes ever again.
Would you think this is an immediate reason to terminate things immediately for trust reasons? I never agreed on being "checked" out?
BTW, her friend is a hair stylist FWIW.
Frankly I wouldn't like it, but if I had a daughter start dating someone with no context or prior knowledge of their lives, I'd advise her to do the same. I mean it's different if you meet through friends, family, church, or some other common cohort of people. Just a random person online--yeah. You could be a charming serial killer like Ted Bundy. Now unfortunately for us the undesirable behaviors that are more typical to women won't show up on a routine criminal background check (general craziness, jealousy, clingyness, a history of whoring, etc) unless she was all the way out in left field--like cooking bunny rabbits and shite.

No, it's perfectly reasonable to run a background check. It's a dangerous world for women. She needs to make sure you're not going to chop her into pieces or try to wear her skin.

Her friend sounds like she'll be a pain in the arse. Runs a background check on everyone? C'mon. That's dumb.
Actually after thinking about this. frick the friend. Hair stylists are freaky as shite and typically whores

Only had one girl I dated do this, and she also had family members pull credit info on me. I didn't care at the time because I have great credit and no skeletons, but she turned out to be pretty crazy with major trust issues, so it's a red flag to me now.

"Nope."

They probably had a friend of a friend at a bank also run a credit check on you too. Would not bother me. She wants to be sure you are basically a good guy and plans to take the relationship a bit further.

Would you be offended if a girl secretly ran a background check on you?
No its called trust but verify

So both her friend and you are paranoid?

I wouldn't be offended. Through a series of miracles I have only been arrested for a couple misdemeanors, and they're off the record now. Broad would find jack shite about me through background checks.

Meeting a guy online it's pretty stupid not to at least Google them
I've run intellius reports on a couple guys. Nbd if she didn't freak out about it. I don't see the point in telling you though

How did you fund out about this? I would be alarmed though

You got any military friends that are good at code writing? I think you just stumbled upon the next big billion dollar idea. I get 15% for pointing it out to you.

I would drop her. I tell girls about problems I've had in the past. Part of who I am and I'm proud to have lived my life with some balls.
But that is for me to tell you about.

I wouldn't care.
Mine would be 100% clean but I'm still a huge degenerate.

I won't even tell girls I sleep with my last name tbh.
Google me and my firm comes up with my profile on the website. I do not want girls I go out with knowing who I work for ever unless we are living together.
Too many crazy chics out there. I've actually had them threaten to show up at my work in the past. I don't play those games. No girl I've ever met has been worth my fricking with my professional career.

Public records check is a good way to find out the guy you are talking to is still married and not divorced like he said.

I wouldn't be offended in the least. In fact, it would just make me think she might have some common sense. A woman would have to be stupid to not try to find out at least a little about a guy she meets online.

Be careful then if you use your cell at work. I've found a lot of info on guys just googling their number
