Been married 25 years. Could not imagine not being married to my wife. While there are some crazy evil bishes out there, there are just as many dudes who make shitty choices.

I’ve been married for 25 years and at least for the first 20 years I got as much sex as I could handle. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Damn some of you must have terrible wives
These threads always reveal how awful people are at choosing a spouse/partner. I love being around my wife more than anyone else in my life.

The family court system is basically designed to arse rape men.
fricking this! I'll never understand how a system set up by mostly white men literally serves men's heads up on a platter all while rolling out the red carpet to women. I escaped a bad marriage to an adulterous manipulator with by balls, my house, and my children intact but not until after spending roughly $100k on attorneys, private investigators, court reporters, psychologists, etc.

Little does he know that marriage is the end of sex, at least passionate sex. Once committed a woman loses all desire for her husband. The idea of her looking at her husband as a sex object is laughable to wives. But meanwhile they flirt & lust after other men, if not actually having affairs. And once you marry her she loses respect for you because she now knows that she holds all the cards, she has all of the power. When dating the man held all of the cards because he could walk away unscathed if she misbehaves. But after marriage you're her little bitch. I mean what power does the man have, to leave and give her half of his money/retirement ? Every woman that I work with has her office lined with photos of her children but zero of her husband, Women brag all day about their kids, but the only time they mention their husband is to complain. Like some married guy at work told me "I'm just the bill paying SOB", I know that a lot of men warn young guys not to get married, but they should provide the gory details of married life to make young guys fully understand what it's really like. I think some married men aren't honest about marriage because they are too embarrassed, or afraid that the advice might get back to the Mrs. "Happy Wife, Happy Life" yeesh.
You must’ve married a succubus.

At the primordial level, life is about procreation. Good marriage fosters relatively well adjusted kids who pass down the relatively healthy genes to another generation. No marriage is perfect, but that relationship has direct bearing on new life.

all marriages require considerable, ongoing effort from both parties, one area my wife has never faltered in is the sexin', she's always been into it, knows how important it is to me, and even now as we age and she's going through the 'pause and her drive is temporarily down she makes sure that I'm taken care of, I try not to take advantage of that because I appreciate the thought and effort behind that

Just got married Friday, couldn't be happier about the decision.
You’ve been married for three days and you’re lecturing guys who’ve been married for decades in some cases?
I wish you and your wife all the best but you arent even out of the honeymoon yet my friend.

I'm talking about a fundamental Baptist.
You mean the type of women who "must submit to a man", and "never attempt to instruct a man", like the Bible says? Why are so many of you afraid of strong women?

Don't quote the Bible out of context if you're clueless.
My current wife, and my previous wives, were strong, beautiful, and intelligent.
They also understood that the man was the spiritual leader of the home and loved a man that embraced and relished this responsibility.

Had this exact convo Friday with a friend. If a 25 yr old guy could see his life in 20 years, no way he goes through with it.

How would his life be if he didn’t develop a drinking habit and big arse gut during those 20 years, like most 45 year old southern males?
People love to talk about fat wives, but damn most of us men are also pretty fricking ugly and fat by mid 40s.
