I did. My wife got screwed with only 50.00 a kid child support. Although they did get a house also. But still not enough for three girls. The youngest was in the second grade when I started to date her mom. Greatest move in my life. So yea.

I said the same thing from probably 16 until I was 27, even made my mom cry once telling her I absolutely don’t want kids. Met a divorced woman with 2 young kids and fell in love. We have 4 altogether now. If that’s being a cuck (which technically isn’t since a cuck is someone who lets their wife frick someone else and this topic is about raising kids or marrying a divorced woman who is now fricking you) than being a cuck is awesome.

ETA: 25, not 27

Of all the shite in the world, I just think it’s odd that someone would let a kid prevent them from finding what might be real happiness

I mean.... A kid is a pretty big fricking deal. They cost hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars. Time. Effort. Etc. Not to mention the added heart ache If the relationship goes downhill. It's just absolutely not worth it to me.

You're acting likenot dating someone bc they have a kid is equivalent to someone saying they don't date red heads.

One is superficial. The other is a MASSIVE lifestyle change. And I honestly don't see how you're shocked that a kid is a pretty big and common deal breaker.

I say this as a man who is not currently raising anyone else's humans :

I'd love to check back with you sir in 10 years or so.

frick off. He’s a grown man capable of speaking for himself. If he wants to adopt a Chinese baby, so be it. He also should spend time in the worst orphanages here in America. He may have a personal experience there that changes his mind, or leads him to adopt another child. Too many progressive types go out of country for no other reason than to flaunt their adopted children as accessories to impress their friends. He is obviously not that type. I’m simply encouraging him to look right here in America before he makes his decision. If the words I used were too strong for your weak sensibilities, go and post in the Disney thread.

Just to think, this entire dumb thread is based on someone's life philosophy they adopted in 2016 as a result of Reddit and 4chan memes

Sure, depending on the circumstance. I’m glad someone else helped raise me.

One and my wife and I are very involved in foster care. I encourage everyone to at least consider adoption and/or foster care. Preferably stateside.

Good to hear. I would hope someone with such strong opinions on who other people should adopt would have a few adopted critters of his own.

I would have more if I could, but many kids in the system will have life long issues related to their abuse. We had to consider our own biological kids well being also. If the right situation comes along, we won’t hesitate.

Well, as the son of an adopted father and the father of an adopted daughter I appreciate what you're doing. I don't have the patience or the temperament to take in foster kids.

You think there aren’t orphanages here in America just as terrible?

I'm confident of that. Yes. 100% Chinese orphanages are worst. You just don't understand, especially since American orphanages don't exist as much. I'm pretty sure orphanages of that caliber wouldn't have escaped 60 Minutes in this country.

Go visit some of the reservation orphanages and you may think differently. Rosebud is especially terrible. It’s obviously not as prevalent, but don’t be fooled. They are there.

We are fortunate, in a way, that in America we have the foster program. It does help prevent mass scale orphanages like you see in places like China.
