I'd do an Antarctic cruise
Agreed….i have been looking at a Viking cruise that goes from inside the artic circle to Antarctica with a ton of stops along the way. It lasts 91 days!

Would consider a cruise so I can pay to have the privilege of barfing in the drake passage

Already have, 3 months.

Nope. Getting mauled by a polar bear or falling in a crevice is > 0% chance, therefore, I’m out.

Getting mauled by a polar bear
Mt wife and I took an ice breaker out of Ushuaia, Argentina to Antarctica 15 years ago this month. It was the trip of a lifetime.
The ship serviced several research stations along the coast of Antarctica (food, fuel & other supplies & pick up garbage) and had 12 passenger cabins which they rented for $25,000 each to accommodate 24 passengers/tourists for each 14 day voyage.

I can find someplace a lot closer to freeze my arse off.

I know someone who has been. They did not do this, they did something that costs far less money
I would definitely consider it. I'm about to have 4 Continents down with 3 to go. Probably will do Aus, then Africa, and then we will see if I ever make it there but I would

What sort of activities would you do beyond hiking in the ice and snow?

Good dude too. He's in Melbourne right now for the Australian Open.

everyone was locked locked in their cabins for the crossing, something like forty hours
I thought 15 hours of turbulence on the way to Australia tested my alcohol consumption limits. 40 hours would straight make me drink like a sailor.

on my dream list of places since i have the other 6 continents stamped. but with my ankle and lower leg being more metal than bone, i don't think this trip is in the cards for me.
