Would a move to the Atlanta metro be a lateral move from south LA?

Are the suburbs there far superior to anything in LA? Is the inner city there just as ghetto and ran down as parts of Br and Nola? Considering relocating to the ATL area and want some honest truth. Tell it how it is.

Is this a serious question?

It would be an upgrade.

Atlanta suburbs are nice.

Minus the Falcons fans it would be a major upgrade.

I’m not a saints fan so the falcons thing wouldn’t bother me one bit.

There are some bad parts, but there is a lot gentrification going on now. But for the most part, the parts you would go to are cleaner and safer

Are the suburbs nice like Dallas suburbs. Give me a comparison. Anything there like Plano or Southlake?

I can't imagine moving anywhere other than Jackson MS, that wouldn't be a HUGE upgrade to anything in La.

Not a slight to the nicer areas of Louisiana. Its just that those nice areas are still in Louisiana.

My family has been in Marietta for 20+ years. I love it out there.

You will get better pay and a lower cost of living if you live in the burbs and use their public school system

From what I read on here, I would have to disagree. Atlanta is just so spread out. traffic isnt that bad

Atlanta is more expensive.

Be mindful of that.

In a place like Marietta for example, everyone uses the public school systems right? Good places to raise a family and such?

No way in hell is ATL traffic worse than BR and NOLA based on per capita. Isn’t the atl metro like 3 times the size of br and at least 2 times the size of Nola?

Move in between Marietta and Roswell. Great schools in that area.
