Today the Old guy in the office made fun of the new girls pronouns and used some slurs. EBRSO escorted him out right before lunch.

Went on an ambulance run years ago and we had a trainee with us. Pulled up to a bad wreck and dude said "I'm done" called his friend and left from the scene.

I've only ever quite one job. It was my first "real" job out of college and I had been working there for 7 years.
After turning in my 2 weeks, I wrote this long email to one of the owners thanking him for the opportunity to work under him and teaching me the industry and yadda yadda. This was the guy that hired me and I had worked closely with over the years. Just doing the thing that I was told and not burn any bridges, right?
He responded to the email with "k"

Back when I was just starting out after graduating college.
I told my boss how horrible of a boss she was and how she never believed in me or challenged me. Then, before she could even get a word in, I told her I quit. I quit during one of the busiest times in finance. Her boss called me trying to get me to come back.

Company hires temps to stuff advertisements into mailing envelopes. They discover a printing error. The temps were being paid $15 per hour (in 1998).
When the error was discovered, the supervisor announced to the employees "You will need to come in tomorrow to remove the ads from the envelope and replace them with new ads."
Black woman stands up and loudly states "I tell you what ... you hired me to stuff them motherfrickahs, not unstuff them" and walks out.

I was a teenager and started a job at a restaurant as a salad and prep guy. The dishwasher quit within an hour of my first shift and I became the dishwasher during peak dinner hours. I asked where the restroom was and headed to my car.

My last job I was in charge of a few people when dealing with certain real estate appraisals. These 2 knuckleheads who were friends for years got hired.
After about a year of babysitting them, they wanted to argue about some stupid shite. That evening, a Thursday, I texted my boss and said I wanted to meet with him at 0800 the next morning.
I walked in and said that either I am in charge or I just get paid more than they do. He hem-hawed around, so I said "I'll save you the headache. You know damn well I don't need this job. I quit immediately."
That was February 29, 2020. Living the good life since then.

Back in the day we worked for a glass company.
One dude got pissed and quit, he came back that night and took a shite on the hood of a work truck, whipped his arse and hung the paper on the antenna.
The stuck a pound of raw hamburger meat way under the seat of the truck
It took 3 months to figure that out

Yeah, you did the right thing. Unfortunately, by his response, you weren't that highly thought of.

I don’t know if it’s the worst but when I was was young man (30 plus years ago ) I was working at a warehouse, it only lasted two weeks. They had a supervisor that liked to cuse at all the employees. Well I was new and bumped into one of the racks with a forklift and this guy all of 5’5” let out a tirade on me in front of everyone. I didn’t say anything I let it go , just looked at him but I was mad at myself that I didn’t speak up. Later that day it happened again, this time though I told him “ frick this job ,I’m beating your arse” I starting running toward him ,he ran in the office and locked the door. I got a lot of pats on the back as I left the warehouse

Worked in a mail-room for a couple years in college and put my 2 weeks in to leave for a better job.
The air had quit working while I was working the two weeks, so I decided to wear shorts one day because it was like 78-80 degrees inside.
Got sent home and was asked to come back wearing pants. I told my supervisor that if I had to leave that I wasn't coming back for the day even though I think I had a pair of pants in the car I could have easily changed into at work, but still.
Got a call from our HR rep later that day with the supervisor I told to frick off on the phone and they said they were deactivating my badge and not to come back. Think this was like the 3rd or 4th day into my notice.

Considering my quitting was a direct result of him fricking me over, I'm fine with him not thinking highly of me
plus that company was bought and the office I worked at was shut down like 3 years later

In college I had a stoner friend that delivered pizzas for Pizza Hut. I'm sitting at home one Sunday afternoon watching football and he shows up asking if I wanted a pizza because the people that ordered it didn't answer their door. I had a bowl packed, so we smoked it and started eating that pizza. About 20 minutes go by when I ask him if he needed to get back to work. He just did that stoner giggle and said he guessed he just quit. He went out to his car(still running in the driveway) and got 2 more pizzas out and we feasted the rest of the day.
Never really heard what came of that for him.

You didn't state that earlier. How were you screwed over?
