That’s amazing. That’s probably neck and neck with leaving an upper decker

I got a job offer after I got my degree and it was time to stop tending bar. Those of you who have been in the service industry might recognize that this is a hell of an opportunity to… interact with shitty customers.

A fired employee returned his uniforms to me in a trash bag that he had shite in. I simply tossed them in the dumpster and deducted the cost of the uniforms from his last paycheck. Cost him a little over $600 for that little stunt.

Well, I didn’t quit. I got fired & I’m not really proud of it, but I acted out of principle. I was working at a gym in BR when spin classes first became a thing around 02-03. There were supposed to be set schedules for instructors & I was teaching classes multiple times per day, 6-7 days a week.

At the time, I was big into bodybuilding & told the owner that I was burning too many calories & couldn’t meet my my personal goals. He was polite & basically told me to do my job. I added that the gym down the street was at least paying $15 per class. He again said that I should just do my job.

The next day, I pulled a chair up to the spin class & played the music & just sat there. I’m thinking to myself, that’ll show him.

Ole Jim pulled me into the office the next day during my workout & told me that my employment was terminated.

He was a good boss. I miss Southdowns Gym.

Jim cost me at least 3 Mr. Olympias. Lol. JK. Probably one of the best life lessons I’ve had.

Not a quitting story…but a you didn’t even get hired story. Douche in another thread got his hopes up because the company he interviewed with scheduled a call with him. He was told thanks but no thanks.

My whore boss told me she thought I was making a mistake quitting and she didn’t think I would be successful in my next job. I just listened and nodded like ok. Wish I would have told her off.
