Don’t know issues with other project. The Nola change order I would not sign either. It will be more than $1.5 million to go that waterline work.
Someone in the know.... Tell us more.

Who is the worst general contractor in Louisiana and why is it Landis Construction?
My take is pretty BR-centric.. But you should specify whether it's residential, commercial or industrial. Big differences.
I don't know much about home builders. I do know there's the shite bulk builders like DSLD and DR Horton, but then you also have Level and Alvarez out there throwing up shite houses at laughable speeds. If I'm building a house, I'm getting a boutique builder. You don't need your soffit falling off the first time the wind blows.
Commercial: You kind of have to be good to last. Everyone complains about MAPP and Lemoine but while they're irritating with safety and all the other look-at-me bullshite, they're not really going anywhere.. especially now that Lemoine has Bernhard money. Everyone else: Buquet & LeBlanc, Cangelosi-Ward, Harvey Honore, Womack, Faulk & Meek, Charles Carter, Lincoln Builders, Stuart & Co, JW Grand, Arkel, Firmin, Guy Hopkins, etc.. Honestly I think they're all decent. Sure, all of them will occasionally have a bad job but that's everybody nowadays.

Gibb’s daughter has tanked that company. Used to be great.
Larry was such a good guy and manager. Had a great team. I would have never thought Lauren would be CEO. She’s just not of that caliber.

You should list your company name. Maybe someone on here now or might need help at some point
Cgrand. << in the name . Guys like him don’t need Instagram reruns to get work. Focus on the quality and execution, work will come. That’s my one of my philosophies.

I got my pool built for 1/2 the cost of those other pool builders

Mike Polito is a professional at being sued and still getting work.

there are a half dozen good commercial contractors in BR. The bad ones are the ones you see always bidding public work

The pool builder retired 5 years ago. I was one of the last pools he built. When I told him the other bids were higher than his-what could you be missing in the bid, he told me this is my price and I don't need to charge you any more money for me to make money. Do you want me to build it or not? I said YES and happy about it.

Not a GC but painting contractor that isn’t just some guy with a small time set up. Worst to deal with has to be Lanehart

DSLD houses are more soundly build than any boutique builder you find in this area... they got the best diggers, framers, carpenters etc. working their slabs... plus every other sub going put you on the back burner or send the 3rd or fourth best guy your way

Custom builders have the best subs, especially when it comes to finish work, masonry, plumbing...
Unless DSLD has improved dramatically in the past 3 years, they certainly don't have the "best" subs...

for example, they do have the best roofers. One in particular that I would love to use more often is always bowed up on DSLD. They are outstanding roofers
on the foundations they have top notch guys as well. It’s the framing and finishes where they go cheap
