Isn't "Gateway to Toledo Bend" stenciled on that grafiti-mural thing on the north entrance to the city?
Yeah. I always found it weird to have it pointed the opposite direction of the lake

Got to be Bastrop.
10 years ago, saw a 3500 sq foot house for sale that was in sight of the country club + 3 acres.
Owner was asking 100k for the house...
Went and looked at it for shits and giggles. It was in decent shape (older brick home). Had some awkward walls and such but they had just replaced the outside AC unit because the previous one was stolen.
Edit...Forgot about Richwood but at worst it's a tie with Bastrop.

People talk about the smell in Bogalusa but I'm not sure if they have ever been to the 'Strop. lol. If there ever was a town that looked like a shell of its former self. Sad to see.

Not sure if mentioned but bogalusa is really not a nice place. There was a time when it was okay but it seems to be supported on nothing more than governmental support through social security disability

as much as i want to say Franklin because i grew up there and it's a shell of itself. its actually a charming little town and would be wonderful if just a little industry developed down 90 besides sugar cane and a couple boat businesses.
its become a government free loader town.
Jeanerette or Bayou Vista are considerably worse.

Anybody care to guess what literally every one of these "worst" cities have in common?

How is this bad?

News Orleans is just bad in too many areas that count, and run politically like a broken hotdog stand.
