Hoping to recover physically enough that I can get back to running and riding with my friends. Get out of the fog.

May you get your feet back under you, both literally and figuratively. You got this bud, I believe in you

You need a good vacation and hard reset bro. Don't get lost in the misery. It's easy to do.

It’s tough losing a parent but this sounds like a blessing for both her and you. Dementia sucks, she had little quality of life and was a burden on you while you had a lot on your plate. She is in a better place now,

She definitely is...her pain, confusion and suffering is over. She had a long full life and was loved by everyone that met her.

You're probably right about the ex as well as much as sucks to admit. Her not showing up to my moms funeral showed me even more what she really felt.

I did get a Husky and while he is very companionable Huskys are also very full of energy lol

I never thought I’d be here today. 2016 lost my job, lost my home, hip needed replacement, and I was sleeping in a shed.

I'm divorced, had kids with my ex wife 25 years ago. My oldest is adopted whom I've raised since his birth.

Hang tough.

Some women enjoy exiting when you are down. Just a little twist of the knife. You dodged a bullet.

The rotator cuff recovery is silly, can't do much. I started running a month post surgery with the sling cinched up tight. Slow and not far but it's something.

Hang in there man. Don’t try to think too much or dwell too much. Just do what’s in front of you. Then do what’s next. Move forward a little at a time.

I'm a runner and due to damage to my foot I was unable to run for months.
Sciatica sidelined me for over six months from my running several years ago and I didn’t realize how important it was to me.

Feels for you brah in general but also specific to your ability to run.

“Fight on”, as the USCW folks say.

Mom died in February
Had a stroke in November
Wife left me in January

It's all in the way you look at things and react. Mom wasn't suffering anymore, God was telling me to slow down and I was miserable being married to that woman. Cliché but life moves forward, you can't change the past.

All you can do man is keep your head up and keep looking forward through the storm clouds for the sun.
As cliche as this is, things will get better.
A few years back I had one of those years were everything that could go bad did. I lost so much and went through so much pain. Body blow after body blow just waiting for that knockout to come. All I could do was roll with the punches. But I did survive and I found my place in life again and I found someone that was better than I ever had before. So keep your head up and don't let life or the demons win, you're better and stronger than that. Good luck.

You are here to suffer through things enough to test your soul.

How you deal with it will determine if you pass or not.

It's a binary question from a trillion angles. Are you good? Or are you evil?
