It was bought for 10k in 2005. Did the internet not exist until 2006?

Check out his 60 Minutes interview from years back. He’s one of the biggest douchebags the world has ever known.

Doesn't surprise me all that value lying around Baton Rouge untouched for decades.

Would have thought it would be one of these:

Plenty of skeptics about whether this is really a legit daVinci.
I'm sure the guys with $450M don't really give a shite.

The article says it was lost in Louisiana.
It wasn't lost. It was hanging in someone's foyer in Baton Rouge for decades.

I would be one mad sob knowing I sold a painting for $10,000 when I could of gotten $450,000,000 for it and never worked another day in my life

What do you think "the internet" going to say or show about this painting in 2005? Didn't it take like 10 years and numerous exhaustive studies to "authenticate" this thing as a DaVinci (for which there is still apparently a good bit of cotroversey over) after someone bought it at the auction in New Orleans.
Crazy story either way.

People who sold it for 10K, should have been smart enough to have it seriously checked out if someone was willing to pay that much for it. That was just too stupid!!!

I bought an oil piece from a guy at a gas station of Rastafarian Jesus hugging his mom.
Could be a DaVinci. It's got Jesus in it.

If you dropped that 10k into bitcoin in October 2010 you'd be sitting on $520MM even with today's prices. Just ignore the fact you'd have lost over $1B in the last 10 months.

I bought this gem on the side of the road in New Mexico. I'm having it appraised, will update.

I’d go on a killing spree if I sold a 450 mil painting for 10k

That’s insane. I went to elementary school with a couple of the Hendry grandkids.
