I’ve tried it over 10 years ago…it was interesting but my enjoyment was tempered because I couldn’t stop thinking about it being made from pooped beans.
I worked for a coffee company at the time it was $75-100 a lb…definitely not worth it…I didn’t pay for it, thankfully.

This is one of those things I would try if I didn’t know where it actually came from

I might try it if offered a sample, but half the caffeine, where’s the motivation to buy?

I've had it while living in China and certainly not the worst coffee I've ever had. Now working in Africa and I can tell you that tastes like what you think the Civet coffee would taste like.

Luckily i work with good folks from civilized coffee producing countries and there is always a good variety.

Who the hell was the 1st person to see a pile of crap with coffee beans in it and decide that looks like it might make for some good coffee?

A Democrat, no doubt.

I've had beer brewed with it, good but would probably be just as good with another coffee.

Who was the first person to do this and why?

the poor indigenous labor force. Would get beaten by the white colonial overlords if they were to eat/drink the profits

but they could drink that shite

now the indigenous people cage the poor tree kitty and force feed the coffee beans
