California single handily destroying and erasing the entire progress of environmentalists for the last few decades in a couple weeks is ironic.
This is what happens when you replace reality with "want".
ETA physics says frick your woke.

At the point a tidal wave would be welcomed?

I deal with HF all the time within petro-refining & refrigerant manufacturing. Very nasty shite.
But i am genuinely curious as well, why exactly would this event result in a massive HF release? What are they using the HF acid for in lithuim battery manufacturing?

That’s more CO than my gas truck will put out in 3 lifetimes

And they are worried about gas cars
They just set clean air back 40 years

why does that clean energy plant have two huge smokestacks?
That is the power plant next door. These battery facilities are generally near a traditional power plant. This is not a battery manufacturing facility but an energy storage facility.

That's what I'm guessing. Hope there is plenty of Calcium Gluconate on hand.

As the lithium batteries burn, the electrolyte components decompose and break down into PF5 and HF. This becomes accelerated as moisture reacts with PF5 to further decompose and produce HF and phosphoric acid. When HF binds with water it becomes hydrofluoric acid.

That's the Moss Landing Power Plant operated that was once operated by Dynegy and now operated by Vistra. It was a combined-cycle power plant (converted from coal to Natural Gas) when I visited there a little over 15 years ago. I think it has around 1,000 MW generating capacity.
This is not a Battery Plant that makes batteries. This is a Battery grid storage facility. So, like a Coal Plant doesn't make coal...but generates/distributes energy from coal...this battery plant stores and distributes energy from the Gas-Fired Power Generating Plant.

And how did this fire start? Accident? Sabotage?
Clearly climate change

That's some serious pollution

Scheming on a thing, that's a mirage. I'm trying to tell you now, it's sabotage

Now we’re cooking. Tool and Beastie Boys in a thread about a lithium battery explosion and fire.

It’s prob our “friends” the maga Russkies.

I can't stand it.
I know you planned it.

They moved some time ago.The new location is in Castroville. It was hot and humid inside when we went and next to no outdoor dining tables. Nothing like the old place and no beach access.

And just think, they have a bunch of engineers in Houston that love to put these batteries on the huge oil and gas facilities offshore. Waiting for this to kill a few people.
They are shitting realizing it is almost impossible to extinguish these fires if they get going.
