And from what I understand, USA Track and Field wouldn’t allow Mondo’s parents to be his coaches
Us track wasn’t going to put his parents on the official payroll, nor should they or could they realistically do that

Yeah his dad seems like the real cuck here. Got butthurt he couldn't coach so he ran off with his American born son to compete for his wife's Country
Being an American used to mean something. This is just another example of the collapse of modern American Society and values

He's been no 1 and the world record holder for four years! After setting a new world record four and a half years, he has set/broken his own world record eight times.

What I did mention was that I was very happy if Greg would like to be in the national team as a coach. A couple of weeks later, Greg called me and said 'We're on.'"
He's from Louisiana, that's for sure.

Louisiana has some great looking women, but give me Swedish women any day.
Very overrated in my opinion but definitely better looking than American women.

My mom taught Mondo in elementary school, good kid.
Even in 5th grade, he was practicing 2 or 3 days a week. Dude has training almost his whole life for this.

Only reason this is a big deal is because he's a local kid lol the USA is up to 20+ gold medals and I doubt yall can tell me any of the winners that isn't gymnastics, a swimmer, or a sprinter lol

If we're going to compare apples and apples, what city in Sweden is he "representing"?
Otherwise you need to correct your phrase to "Sweden or USA". Now what?

The woman surfer won gold. Not even sure how you would compete in surfing.
NBC made a big deal out of Mondo -really nothing to do with being local

I'm sure this guy that just won an Olympic gold medal is just totally distraught right now because Pierre Boudreaux from Crowley is mad on KATC's Facebook comments.

Are you trying to compare a champion (silver this year) in one of the most popular Olympic events (100 m dash) to a pole vaulter? Richardson also competes in multiple different events. Mondo is strictly a pole vaulter. Pole Vault is not much different in terms of marketability as Shot Put where Americans Ryan Crouser and Joe Kovacs have finished #1 and #2 for 3 Olympics in a row.
I’ll accept that, when you agree it’s likely the same for him in Sweden and Europe regarding pay. You can’t argue he has more marketability in Sweden as a pole vaulter and then argue against his marketability in the USA.
People say he’s famous in Europe, there’s no reason that changes as an American it’s not like Sweden has a long history of track and field as their top sport.
You aren’t wrong, but Crowser is also a big older dude where as Mondo is a young in shape good looking guy. It’s all about marketability.
The internet estimates Mondo’s Puma deal at $800k a year and he is likely paid what $200k or less by Sweden.
I think his decision to go made sense early but once he became a gold medal contender it likely changed financially. Just my opinion.
