This is one of those threads that show the unoriginality of the OT. At least make good molestation jokes.

Seriously, that doesn't appear to be in America, but that seemed to be a little too much... If he would do that to the wrong person's kid, they would clock his old arse.

The old bastard is obviously senile and should not be practicing, he’s at least mid 80’s. I’m not excusing what he did at all, but it’s sad that there’s no one to step in and insist guys like that retire at an appropriate time.

Priests have retirement ages like anyone else, but can still perform sacraments upon request as long as they're mentally competent. But dementia can pop out of the blue, and the old fella probably performed his last public sacrament there. For all we know, the family might have requested him because he was the old parish priest or something, with no clue about his current mental faculties.

The youtube comments were enlightening as always, with people weighing in about "apostasy" and demonic possession.

Priest asked him calmly many times to stop crying and behave. Little thing wouldn't comply and continued being mouthy. Priest did what he had to do to control the situation. I'm not seeing much of a problem here.

To be completely honest, that was tough to watch. Imagine how awkward that would be for all the family in the pews watching a harmless baptism and then the priest slaps your baby relative. That must have been a weird moment. I also wonder what happened after the video stopped. Did the baptism finish ORRRR....?!
