Who else?

Kids will be asleep by 10. I’ll be home at 530 and an hour and a half later opening gifts. Not missing much. Especially considering only one kid left that believes in Santa.

I’m working tonight and Xmas night and the night after. It’s gonna be a tight schedule tomorrow, getting with family and trying to get some sleep before work.

The only good thing after this stretch of nights is that I’m off for bowl season the next 11 days.

Priorities, amiright?

I used to volunteer to do it so my co-workers with kids and family in the immediate area could enjoy the Holidays. It usually was was one of the most boring quietest nights.

Hospitals try to discharge anyone who can "safely" be elsewhere (even if they'll be back within a week they're so bad off). Not a lot of ER stuff comes in either but what does come in is very bad stuff.

What sucks is standing around surgery waiting on the on-call surgeon/anesthesia to show up for that can't wait emergency at 3am Christmas Day. Of course standing around waiting is better than laying there waiting.

A few of my employees are working on Christmas as well. Running a global corporation requires service 24/7. They will be and are compensated for their holiday time.
