8am for me to my parents house every Christmas morning. My mom and dad want no excuses. Has been that way my entire life. We will go gifts there at 8am and then I’ll head back home to get some sleep. Then wake around 1-2. While I’m sleeping, my wife will be going get my daughter that stays with her mom. I’ll have her until Sunday morning.

After 23+ yrs in law enforcement, don't expect me have sympathy for someone working on a holiday. Deal with it.

Yup. I’m working tonight. This is night 5 for us. The last one and I don’t have to be back until Tuesday morning. Will get home between 415-430. Once my little boy wakes up do this Santa thing and go to my parents. Leave for Atlanta on Friday

I'm not in LE, but exact same situation - 23 straight since 1996.
Today is Dec 24th, tomorrow is the 25th, nothing to soil my pants over.

I will get paid to take a few power naps, watch some football and/or movies tomorrow, will surf around on this site, and probably get a few games of Call of Duty down. And getting paid double time plus 8 hours for it. Will do the Christmas thing tomorrow evening when I get home.

I actually didn’t mind working Christmas Eve when I worked nights on the Peds floor. There is an older couple that dresses up as Santa and his wife and visit the kids in the hospital that night and bring them toys
Also our child life department gets a bunch of donated toys and the nurses get to sneak toys into their patients rooms while they sleep. Loved picking out toys for my patients and seeing their surprise when they wake up. Especially those that still believe in Santa and was scared he wouldn’t come to the hospital.
Many of our patients are pretty poor so the toys they get from us are sometimes the nicest gift they will get(we would get some really nice toys donated....like bikes and Nintendo DESs, etc).
