When my brother and I were really young he had this weird speech thing where he would pronounce words starting with a “d” with a “b” sound instead. For example he would say “boor” instead of “door”. One day he and I were playing on the edge of the yard next to a ditch and he fell in and scraped his knee or something. We go inside to have momma put a bandaid on it. When she asked him what happened he told her “I fell in the bitch”. We were confused when she lost her mind about his filthy language.

My wife once thought The Who “Who are you” was actually “New Orleans…New New New New…I really want to go”

Always thought I misunderstood KISS in the song Deuce.

“Getup and get your granma out of here”. My young self thought no way that is what he is really singing. Fast forward to Googling lyrics in later years and yep that is what Gene is singing.

I had no idea what the second verse of the good times theme song was saying until I know black people on chappelle.
temporary layoffs - good times!
Easy credit rip-offs - good times!
Scratchin' and survivin' - good times!
Hangin' in a chow line - good times!
Ain't we lucky we got 'em? good times!
