Those days are all over now obviously, but at least I had the ability to get recruited and play D1 sports. Don't be mad you had to pay to have friends.

As I said earlier, I paid my dues using money I saved up while working part time in high school. I know several other guys who also paid their own dues.

I just don't get sad, angry people like you. Yes, I paid dues while being a member of a fraternity, but that in no way implies I paid the other members. Like I said earlier, I am still waiting on my money that these people paid me to be their friend......

Probably to places they want to go. Like country clubs, hunting leases, private schools for their kids, gyms, etc.

There are plenty times in life where you have to pay to play. The Greek system has serious issues, I'm sure, but having to pay to join it is not one of them.

And for the record, when I was in college I thought and said the same things you are saying, and I sounded like I was jealous and didn't know what I was talking about or how the world works.

fraternities are just like joining any other organization and paying dues. what about all the losers that buy friends from their mardi gras crew?
