TIL Jackson has a symphony.

There was a time about 25 years ago when Jackson actually had a nice arts scene going. Touring exhibits, shows, etc. it’s a shame to see what has happened there.

Looks like there’s a fungus among us. I’ve always wanted to say that.

Coming soon to Baton Rouge…

Baton Rouge has a lot of faults, but the auditorium at the River Center is a great facility especially for a city it’s size.

Municipal Auditorium in New Orleans rotting away is a tragedy.

That sucks, but the people of Jackson voted for the political leadership who allowed this to occur.

Fun fact.. Anything that's been built over 30 years ago has mold problems.

I saw Palaces of St. Petersburg, Majesties of Spain, and the Dresden exhibit. Dresden was very underrated.

I bet the Dresden exhibition was pretty cool. Jackson should have kept those going.

Sell me on that place. I went there all the time when I was a kid in New Orleans, and it smelled off as far back as I can remember- 1981 maybe? The odor will never leave me. The architecture is interesting but kind of overdone and creepy. Why should we not tear it down?

Lost a lot of money on the last couple. The appetite to fund them faded as losses increased.

The King Tut exhibit and Palaces of St. Petersberg were must-do’s for kids in the 80’s and 90’s.

And people scoff at me for telling them a vented crawlspace is literally destroying their home.
