Women have more weird vocal affectations these days, why?

I can't help but hear my wife on a zoom call from her work. The women she talks with sound utterly ridiculous. It's difficult for me to listen to it honestly. I've kind of noticed over the last 15-20 years that a lot of women seem to have developed some very distinct vocal habits that weren't nearly as common when I was growing up.
Two examples I can hear are uptalk and vocal fry. Uptalk being the most pervasive. How do they know they're not doing this annoying shite?
There are a few other vocal trends I've noticed too:
Excessive use of filler words: "like" and "literally"
Vocal elongation ("sooooo cute," "I knooooow")
High-pitched "customer service" voices that disappear when talking to friends
The habit of turning every sentence into a dramatic story, even when describing ordinary events
I'm not saying men don't have their own annoying habits. We definitely do. But women's vocal affectations seem to be way more noticeable and widespread especially in the last 15-20 years.
What I'm curious about is why these things spread. Is it social media? Hollywood? Peer groups? Some kind of unconscious signaling?
I've also heard that most of these patterns aren't random and serve social purposes for women but some of them still sound strange to my ears.
Do you tend to look at them differently because of it? I know I do.

Uptalking drives me crazy. I took a training recent where the woman uptalked for the whole 5 hours. It was like nails on a chalkboard.
On the men's side, it's guys who mumble.

I was beginning to think I was the only one, I notice a distinct rise in contrived, ridiculous accents/inflections among women these days, sounds ridiculous

I don't look at them differently. It merely confirms what I already knew.

Yeah I hate that too. Limp handshakes. Guys who come into the office and say nothing.

I couldn't handle that.
We once did not hire an otherwise highly qualified woman only because her uptalk was so ridiculous. While it does annoy me, it also annoys some of our government customers.

What's uptalking?
This thread made me think of this scene from Loudermilk:

Not one time have I listened to any of my wife's work calls, and I ignore the women I work with. That's all I got.

Sorry, I should have asked you directly. Any idea why they do this?

Don't blame you for that. My wife and I have adjacent home offices unfortunately.

Are these saleswomen or "consultants" you are referring to?

was driving to Nola with the wife for a wedding a few weeks ago and she had to be on a zoom call, it was all I could do to keep from busting out laughing, it was like a SNL skit of as much corporate jargon as could possibly be crammed into an hour, both guys and girls

I've heard it across the board.

I think uptalk is also known as vocal fry, and it was really popularized by Paris Hilton and then the Kardashians over the past 15-20 years.
“Like”, “literally”, and “Oh my god” are all part of the Valley Girl trend that started about 40 years ago but have gotten more exaggerated over time.

Yep. Buzzword bingo. In defense and LE industry there's a lot of civilians trying to use gungy wording and they've never served in the military. Very laughable.

this one was filled with "lean intos," but a new one for me was "the ask"

Also, most women's version of comedy is repeating what their friend in the conversation just said but in the tone of ebonics:
"And I literally was like push your buggy to the curb"
"oohhhhh yess gurl, push that buggyy uppppppp HAHAHAHAHA"
